Installing and Using the Product

Product Components:

• A: Sound bar
• B: Remote Control Receiver / Status Display
• C: Rear Speakers / Wireless Receiver (Sold separately, SPK8-S)
• D: Wireless Subwoofer - Install it close to the sound bar.
• E: External Device - (Blu-ray player, game console, etc.)

Connections:

1. Connect the sound bar to your TV via an optical cable or an HDMI cable.
2. If using an external device (e.g., Blu-ray player, game console), connect it to the sound bar via an HDMI cable.
3. If you purchased rear speakers and a wireless receiver separately, connect the rear speakers to the wireless receiver using speaker cables. Connect the black striped cable to the negative terminal and the remaining cable to the positive terminal of each speaker.
4. Connect to power in the following order: Wireless Subwoofer -> Wireless Receiver -> Sound bar. Then, turn on the sound bar. When the connection is automatically established, the LEDs on the wireless subwoofer and receiver will light up green.

Using the Product with Your TV:

1. Press the Function button repeatedly until "OPT/HDMI ARC" appears on the status display.
2. On your TV's settings, set the output speaker to [HDMI ARC], [Optical], or [External Speaker].
3. When the TV is properly connected, "OPT", "ARC", or "E-ARC" will appear on the status display with sound.

Connecting via Wi-Fi:

1. Connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi.
2. Install the "LG Sound Bar" app from Google Play or the App Store.
3. Run the LG Sound Bar app and follow the instructions.
4. The product will connect to your smartphone, allowing control via the app.

Connecting via Bluetooth:

1. On your smartphone, go to Settings and select Bluetooth. Turn on Bluetooth.
2. Press the Bluetooth pair button on the sound bar. "BT READY" will appear on the status display.
3. Find and tap "LG_Speaker_SP9YA_XXXX" or the name registered in the Google Home app.
4. When connected, the status display will show "PAIRED" -> "Connected Bluetooth device name" -> "BT".

Troubleshooting Wireless Connection

A red LED on the wireless subwoofer or receiver indicates a lost connection.

1. Press the Power button on the sound bar to turn it off.
2. Press the PAIRING button on the back of the disconnected wireless subwoofer or receiver. Check if the LED blinks green.
3. If a red LED persists on the subwoofer, press and hold the button on its back again.
4. Press the Power button on the sound bar to turn it on.
5. A green LED on the subwoofer or receiver indicates a successful connection.

Important Notes:

• Keep the sound bar, subwoofer, and wireless receiver at least 1 meter away from devices like wireless routers or microwave ovens to prevent wireless interference.
• Some speakers may not produce sound depending on the input source. Select CINEMA sound mode to enable all speakers.

The lightning flash with an arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle alerts users to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the product's enclosure that may pose a risk of electric shock. The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle alerts users to important operating and maintenance instructions in the accompanying literature.

WARNING:

• To prevent fire or electric shock hazard, do not expose this product to rain or moisture.
• Do not install this equipment in a confined space such as a bookcase or similar unit.
• Do not use high voltage products (e.g., electrical swatters) around this product, as it may malfunction due to electrical shock.
• No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
• Do not block ventilation openings. Install according to manufacturer's instructions. Slots and openings are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation and protection from overheating. They should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface. This product shall not be placed in a built-in installation (e.g., bookcase, rack) unless proper ventilation is provided or manufacturer's instructions are followed.
• The Power Plug is the disconnecting device and must remain readily accessible in case of emergency.
• The apparatus should not be exposed to water (dripping or splashing), and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on it.
• For safety marking information, including product identification and supply ratings, refer to the main label on the bottom or other surface of the product.

For models using an adapter:

Only use the AC adapter supplied with this device. Do not use a power supply from another device or manufacturer, as it may cause damage and void your warranty.

For models using a Laser device:

This product employs a Laser System. Read this owner's manual carefully and retain it for future reference. For maintenance, contact an authorized service center. Use of controls, adjustments, or procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure. Do not try to open the enclosure to prevent direct exposure to the laser beam.

For models using a battery:

This device is equipped with a portable battery or accumulator. CAUTION: Risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

For models using a built-in battery:

Do not store or transport at pressures lower than 11.6 kPa and at altitudes above 15,000 m. Avoid battery replacement with incorrect types, disposal in fire or hot ovens, mechanical crushing or cutting, storage in extremely high temperatures, or exposure to extremely low air pressure, as these can cause explosions or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

If the appliance is supplied from a cord extension set or an electrical portable outlet device, ensure it is positioned to avoid splashing or moisture ingress.

RF Radiation Exposure Statement:

This equipment shall be installed and used at a minimum distance of 20 cm from the human body. The use of the 5,150-5,350 MHz band is restricted to indoor use only in Australia (AU) and New Zealand (NZ).
