Device Description
The Elitech RC-5+ logger is a compact, rectangular device measuring approximately 80mm in length, 25mm in width, and 12mm in thickness. One end houses a standard USB-A connector, accessible by removing a protective cap. The front face features a small LCD screen that displays current temperature readings, battery status, and a 'REC' icon indicating active logging. Below the screen are two operational buttons: a green 'Start/Stop' button and a blue 'View/Next' button.
Operation Guide
- Starting Logging: Press and hold the 'Start/Stop' button for 3 seconds. The 'REC' icon will appear on the LCD, confirming that logging has begun.
- Stopping Logging: Press and hold the 'Start/Stop' button for 3 seconds. The 'REC' icon will disappear from the LCD, indicating that logging has stopped.
- Viewing Data: Briefly press the 'View/Next' button to cycle through the displayed information on the LCD, which includes the current temperature, the maximum recorded temperature, the minimum recorded temperature, and the logging status.
- Downloading Data: Connect the logger directly to a computer's USB port. The device will be recognized as a removable drive. Launch the ElitechLog software, select the connected logger, and initiate the data download process.
- Logger Configuration: Before initial use or for subsequent logging sessions, connect the logger to a PC and use the ElitechLog software to configure parameters such as the recording interval, start delay, temperature units (°C or °F), and other logging settings.

The dedicated ElitechLog software provides comprehensive functionality for managing the RC-5+ data logger. Users can configure logger settings, download recorded temperature data, visualize data trends through interactive graphs, export data in various formats including PDF, Excel, and TXT, and generate detailed analysis reports. The software is compatible with Windows operating systems.
Precautions and Care
- Avoid exposing the logger to temperatures outside its specified operating range (-30°C to +70°C) for prolonged periods to prevent damage.
