Using the Wireless Remote Control Unit

Slide Switch

This switch sets the indoor unit's operation mode and flap settings. Operation display and flap settings vary by indoor unit model. Use a pointed implement to change the switch position and press the ACL button afterward. Refer to the indoor unit's operating instructions for flap function details.

Diagram Description: Illustrates different slide switch positions and corresponding flap displays for 'Model which supports different flap settings', 'Swing-only model', and 'No-flap model'. Also shows operation mode displays for 'Heat pump (with auto cooling/heating function)', 'Heat pump (without auto cooling/heating function)', and 'Cooling only'.

Before use, ensure the slide switch is set correctly. Consult your dealer for details on setting the slide switch.

How to Install Batteries

  1. Slide the cover in the indicated direction and remove it.
  2. Install two AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity as marked in the compartment.
  3. Use a pointed implement to press the ACL button.

Address Settings

For multi-unit installations in the same room, this feature allows separate control of up to six indoor units by matching address switches on the indoor unit and remote control. The signal receiver has an address switch for reception, and the remote control has one for transmission.

How to Check Addresses

Pressing the ADDRESS button displays the current address. A buzzer sounds if it matches the signal receiver's address. If "ALL" is displayed, operations are possible regardless of the receiver's address.

How to Set the Matching Address

  1. Hold the ADDRESS button for 4+ seconds; "ADR" lights up, and the current address blinks.
  2. Press the ADDRESS button repeatedly to cycle through addresses: ALL → 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → ALL. Select the address matching the indoor unit's switch.
  3. Press the SET button to confirm; the address stops blinking and remains lit for 5 seconds. A buzzer confirms a match.

Note: Address setting resets to "ALL" when batteries are replaced.

Diagram Description: Shows examples of wireless remote control unit address displays (e.g., "ADR ALL", "ADR 1") and corresponding address switch positions on signal receivers for X type, T type, K type, and A, U, D type units. It details how to set knobs or switches for different address numbers.

Emergency Operation

Use the Emergency operation button for makeshift operation in the following situations:

X type

Initiate operation using the Emergency operation button on the indoor unit.

T type

Initiate operation using the Emergency operation button on the signal receiver (indoor unit).

K type

Initiate operation using the Emergency operation button on the indoor unit.

Note: The "TEST" function is for initial trial runs only. To resume remote control operation, ensure the ON/OFF switch is set to ON.

A, U, D type

Initiate operation using the Emergency operation button in the signal receiver.

Troubleshooting

Check these points before requesting service:
