Product Function Specification

I. Precautions for product use

  1. Please stay away from fire.
  2. Please do not use this product near strong magnetic fields because electromagnetic waves of specific frequencies may affect the image quality.
  3. Before you start working with the product, please make a trial video to get familiar with it.
  4. Be sure to use the power adapter and USB cable equipped with the recorder to charge the unit. Stop charging it after it is fully charged. Please do not continuously charge it for a long time so as to prevent floating charging of the battery.
  5. When the machine breaks down, please do not disassemble and repair it arbitrarily. Only authorized maintenance personnel can repair the machine.
  6. Our company shall not be responsible for any loss of data or content during operations.
  7. The Company reserves the right to change the software and hardware specifications described in this manual at any time without prior notice on upgrades or improvements of the product. The product specifications and information mentioned in this manual are for reference only.

IV. Description of appearance and keys

The device is a compact body camera. The front features a prominent circular lens surrounded by smaller circular elements, likely for illumination or sensors. Below the lens assembly is a rectangular display screen. The front also has three primary control buttons located below the screen: a menu button (labeled 'M'), an OK button, and a playback button (labeled with a play icon ▶️).

V. Basic operating instructions

  1. Starting up: Press and hold the [On-off button] for 3 seconds. A sound prompt will be heard, and the green standby indicator will light up, indicating the screen has entered the standby state.
  2. Recording: In power off/standby state, short press the [Record button]. A voice prompt "Start recording" will be heard, and the yellow recording indicator light will flash. Short press the [Record button] again to stop recording; the yellow indicator light will go off, and the record will be saved.
  3. Photo: Under standby state, short press the [Photo button] to take and save photos.
  4. Video: In the power off/standby state, short press the [Video button]. A voice prompt "Start recording" will be heard, and the red video indicator will flash, indicating recording has started. Short press the [Video button] again to stop recording; the red video indicator will go off, and the recording will be saved.
  5. LED white-light: In standby state and during recording, long press the [Light button] to turn on the white light. Long press it again to turn off the white light.
  6. Infrared night vision function: In standby state and during the recording process, short press the [Light button] to turn on the infrared night vision. This function allows shooting in dark environments. Short press the [Light button] again to turn it off.
  7. Quick playback key: In standby state, short press the [Playback button] ▶️ to quickly replay and browse audio and video files recorded by the previous operation.
  8. OK button: Under standby state, short press the [OK button] to select audio and video data from video, photo, and audio folders, then press Confirm to play them.
  9. Key mark key: Under recording state, long press the [OK button] to mark the current video. A key mark will appear on the LCD screen to distinguish it from other common videos.
  10. Return: In the menu setting and file browsing state, short press the [Record button] to return.

In the menu setting and file browsing state, short press [Record button] to return.

Under standby state, short press [Menu button] to set machine functions and parameters. Short press [OK button] to confirm related operations. Short press [Up arrow key] or [Down arrow key] to select related items. The settings are as follows:

VIII. PC connection

After connecting the machine to the computer, the screen will prompt to enter the encryption state. Input the password (default is 6 zeros) using the [Up arrow key] and [Down arrow key] to select characters, then press the [OK button] to confirm.

This machine has two kinds of abnormal state alarm prompts:

X. Power saving mode

This unit has a screen saver mode. The LCD screen can automatically close after 1, 3, 5, or 10 minutes. Short press the [On-off button] to turn the LCD back on. Under the preview state, short press the [On-off button] to close the LCD display screen, and short press it again to turn it back on.

XI. Charging

The machine will be fully charged in about 4 hours when turned off. When fully charged, the red indicator light will light up. After it is fully charged, the status indicator remains green.

XIII. Method to connect law enforcement recorder (Optional)

Search for "PAPAGO Focus" in the app store and download and install it on your mobile phone. Alternatively, scan the provided QR code (excluded) to download and install.

  1. Turn on the Wi-Fi of the law enforcement recorder (Long press [OK button] and a voice prompt "WiFi on" will be given).
  2. Find the corresponding network name (e.g., B100_xxxxxx) in the Wi-Fi interface of your phone and connect to it (password: 12345678).
  3. Turn on the "PAPAGO Focus" app downloaded to your mobile phone for operation.

XIV. User notice

In order to better protect users' interests and avoid unnecessary problems, please read the following points in detail:

  1. When purchasing the machine, please ask the sales unit to fill in the relevant contents of the "Warranty Card" and stamp the official seal of the sales unit.
  2. The company only provides paid service for artificial damage to the faulty machine (such as water damage, dampness, improper use, etc.), private modification, or damage caused by maintenance from non-authorized service organizations, as well as for law enforcement recorder products beyond the warranty period. Users will need to pay for these services.
  3. If the machine is seriously damaged by human factors (such as liquid ingress or broken components), please sign a Maintenance Agreement with the maintenance unit during maintenance to determine if charges will apply.
  4. Law enforcement recorders affected by dampness, liquid intake, serious damage, or illegal modification may encounter further problems even after being handled by authorized maintenance institutions. The company does not guarantee complete repair for unrecoverable faults.
  5. If only the main unit (host) has problems and meets the conditions for replacement, only the host should be replaced. Other components cannot be replaced.

FCC Radiation Exposure Statement

This device meets the government's requirements for exposure to radio waves. The guidelines are based on standards developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies. The standards include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons regardless of age or health. The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged. Device types: Body Camera (FCC ID: 2AA58-B100PLUS) has also been tested against this SAR limit. SAR information can be viewed online at http://www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/. Please use the device FCC ID number for search. This device was tested simulating typical 0mm to body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, the use of accessories should maintain a separation distance between the user's bodies as mentioned above. The use of accessories should not contain metallic components in their assembly. Accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements and should be avoided.
