Product Function Specification
I. Precautions for product use
- Please stay away from fire.
- Please do not use this product near strong magnetic fields because electromagnetic waves of specific frequencies may affect the image quality.
- Before you start working with the product, please make a trial video to get familiar with it.
- Be sure to use the power adapter and USB cable equipped with the recorder to charge the unit. Stop charging it after it is fully charged. Please do not continuously charge it for a long time so as to prevent floating charging of the battery.
- When the machine breaks down, please do not disassemble and repair it arbitrarily. Only authorized maintenance personnel can repair the machine.
- Our company shall not be responsible for any loss of data or content during operations.
- The Company reserves the right to change the software and hardware specifications described in this manual at any time without prior notice on upgrades or improvements of the product. The product specifications and information mentioned in this manual are for reference only.

III. Quick operating instructions
- Long press [On-off button] to start the machine and enter the standby screen.
- Short press [Record button] to start recording. Long press [Record button] to switch resolution ratio.
- Short press [Photo button] to take pictures. Long press [Photo button] to enable the red and blue flash function.
- Short press [Video button] to take videos. Long press [Video button] to enable laser positioning.
- Short press [Light button] to start infrared night vision. Long press [Light button] to start white light.
- Short press [Menu button] to set machine functions and parameters.
- Short press [OK button] to enter the audio and video folder. When the video is recorded, long press [OK button] will enable the key mark.
- Short press [Record button] to return to the previous screen during operation.
IV. Description of appearance and keys
The device is a compact body camera. The front features a prominent circular lens surrounded by smaller circular elements, likely for illumination or sensors. Below the lens assembly is a rectangular display screen. The front also has three primary control buttons located below the screen: a menu button (labeled 'M'), an OK button, and a playback button (labeled with a play icon ▶️).
Key external components and their locations are:
- Front: White-light source, Infrared night vision light, Photoresistance, Red and blue flash lights, Lens, Display screen.
- Top: Speaker grille, Status indicator lamp, Charge lamp.
- Left Side: [Video button], [Photo button/Red and blue flash button], [On-off button], [USB interface/reset key].
- Right Side: [White light key/infrared night vision light key], [Record key/Return key].
- Bottom: USB interface.
V. Basic operating instructions
- Starting up: Press and hold the [On-off button] for 3 seconds. A sound prompt will be heard, and the green standby indicator will light up, indicating the screen has entered the standby state.
- Recording: In power off/standby state, short press the [Record button]. A voice prompt "Start recording" will be heard, and the yellow recording indicator light will flash. Short press the [Record button] again to stop recording; the yellow indicator light will go off, and the record will be saved.
- Photo: Under standby state, short press the [Photo button] to take and save photos.
- Video: In the power off/standby state, short press the [Video button]. A voice prompt "Start recording" will be heard, and the red video indicator will flash, indicating recording has started. Short press the [Video button] again to stop recording; the red video indicator will go off, and the recording will be saved.
- LED white-light: In standby state and during recording, long press the [Light button] to turn on the white light. Long press it again to turn off the white light.
- Infrared night vision function: In standby state and during the recording process, short press the [Light button] to turn on the infrared night vision. This function allows shooting in dark environments. Short press the [Light button] again to turn it off.
- Quick playback key: In standby state, short press the [Playback button] ▶️ to quickly replay and browse audio and video files recorded by the previous operation.
- OK button: Under standby state, short press the [OK button] to select audio and video data from video, photo, and audio folders, then press Confirm to play them.
- Key mark key: Under recording state, long press the [OK button] to mark the current video. A key mark will appear on the LCD screen to distinguish it from other common videos.
- Return: In the menu setting and file browsing state, short press the [Record button] to return.
VI. Indicator light/key and instructions for use
Indicator Lights
- Standby Indicator: Green light. Lights up when the device enters the real-time monitoring standby state after power is on.
- Charging indicator: Red light when charging. The green light stays on when fully charged.
- Video indicator: Red indicator. Flashes when video is being recorded.
- Recording indicator light: Yellow indicator light. Flashes when recording is in progress.
Keys and Functions
- Reset key: In case of a crash caused by incorrect operation, press this key with a pointed object to reset the device.
- Menu button [M]: Under standby state, short press to enter the system setting interface.
- OK Confirm button: Press to enter the video/photo/recording file browsing mode. Also functions as a confirmation button. Under recording state, long press to mark the video with one key.
- Recording function button [Record button]: Short press to start recording. Short press again to stop recording. Under menu setting and file browsing status, short press to return. In the preview interface, long press to switch the resolution ratio.
- Photo function key [Photo button]: Short press to take photos. In standby state, long press [Photo button] to start the red and blue flash and alarm sound function. Long press a second time to turn off the alarm sound while keeping the red and blue lights flashing. Long press a third time to close the red and blue flash function.
- Video recording key [Video button]: Short press to start recording. Short press again to end video. Long press to start laser positioning, and then long press again to turn off laser positioning function.
- Up/down/left/right key: In the menu selection interface and file browsing interface, use these keys to adjust the selection object up, down, left, or right.
- Light Key [Light button]: In standby state and recording process, short press to enable the infrared night vision function; short press again to end it. In standby state and during recording, long press to turn on the white light. Long press again to end the white light function.
- USB interface: Connects to a computer for reading machine data and charging.
- On-off key [On-off button]: When the machine is turned off, long press to start it. Long press to close the machine in standby or video state. In standby state or video state, short press to close the screen. Short press again to open the screen.
VII. Menu selection
In the menu setting and file browsing state, short press [Record button] to return.
Under standby state, short press [Menu button] to set machine functions and parameters. Short press [OK button] to confirm related operations. Short press [Up arrow key] or [Down arrow key] to select related items. The settings are as follows:
- Video resolution: Select from 3840*2160, 2560*1440, 2304*1296, 1920*1080, 1280*720, 848*480.
- Photo resolution: Choose photo quality definition as 3M/5M/8M/10M/12M/27M/32M/48M.
- Video coding: H.264/H.265 can be selected.
- Video quality: Select video effects: high, medium, and low levels.
- Extended recording: Can be turned off or on.
- Delayed photograph: Options: Off, 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds. Press [Photo button] to take pictures and save them after the set time.
- Timed photograph: Options: Off, 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds. Takes pictures continuously and saves them at the set time.
- Loop recording: Can be turned off or on. When enabled and the recording card is full, the earliest file will be automatically covered.
- Video segmentation time: Select video file segmentation in 4 modes: 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and 30 minutes.
- Slide play: Options: Off, 2 seconds, 5 seconds, and 8 seconds.
- Motion detection: Can be turned on or off. When enabled, the device stops recording after 30 seconds of inactivity (still picture) and resumes recording when motion is detected. Dynamic pictures can be recorded continuously. Short press [Video button] to stop recording.
- Vehicle mode: Open or close mode available. When enabled and the machine is off, it automatically starts recording when connected to a power supply. After disconnection, it saves the video and turns off.
- Automatic shutdown: Options: Off, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes.
- Key sound: Can be set on or off. When off, there is no sound prompt when a key is pressed.
- Language setting: Machine language can be set in this interface.
- Infrared switch: Manual or automatic selection. Manual mode requires pressing the [Light button] to open infrared. Automatic mode switches to infrared night vision for dark environments.
- Screen saver: Options: Off, 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes.
- Indicator: Options: Off and on. When off, there is no indicator for recording and video recording.
- Voice broadcast: Can be turned off or on. When off, there is no voice prompt for video and recording.
- Password protection: Can be set on or off. When connected to a computer for file copying or formatting, a password is required. The default password is 000000. When off, no password is needed for file transfer.
- Password setting: Machine password can be changed.
- ID setting: Police officer number and machine number can be set.
- Volume adjustment: Volume can be adjusted manually. Short press [Up arrow key] and [Down arrow key] to adjust. Lower numbers mean lower volume.
- Date/time: Time and date can be modified and corrected. Press [Up arrow key] and [Down arrow key] to adjust, and [OK button] to confirm.
- Formatting: Use with caution. After formatting, all files stored on the device will be deleted.
VIII. PC connection
After connecting the machine to the computer, the screen will prompt to enter the encryption state. Input the password (default is 6 zeros) using the [Up arrow key] and [Down arrow key] to select characters, then press the [OK button] to confirm.
IX. Abnormity warning
This machine has two kinds of abnormal state alarm prompts:
- When the power is insufficient, the battery power display on the machine screen will flash, and a warning sound will be heard.
- When the machine memory is full, "storage is full" will appear on the machine screen, accompanied by a prompt sound alarm.
X. Power saving mode
This unit has a screen saver mode. The LCD screen can automatically close after 1, 3, 5, or 10 minutes. Short press the [On-off button] to turn the LCD back on. Under the preview state, short press the [On-off button] to close the LCD display screen, and short press it again to turn it back on.
XI. Charging
The machine will be fully charged in about 4 hours when turned off. When fully charged, the red indicator light will light up. After it is fully charged, the status indicator remains green.
Charging method:
- Connect it to the computer by USB.
- Charge it by power adapter.
XII. Matters needing attention
- When the machine screen shows color difference (red), please turn the [On-off button] or [Light button] on/off once again to restore the normal color.
- The machine can be charged in two ways:
- Fast charge mode (when the machine is off): Fully charged within about four hours.
- Slow charge mode: Fully charged within about 10 hours.
- If the product is not used for a long time, please charge it in advance before using it again.
- If the machine crashes or is in an abnormal state, please click [Reset button] with a pointed object to restart the machine. It can then be restored to normal state.
- When the machine is used and placed, please do not allow the charging part at the bottom of the machine to contact water, which may result in short circuit or corrosion and oxidation.
XIII. Method to connect law enforcement recorder (Optional)
Search for "PAPAGO Focus" in the app store and download and install it on your mobile phone. Alternatively, scan the provided QR code (excluded) to download and install.
- Turn on the Wi-Fi of the law enforcement recorder (Long press [OK button] and a voice prompt "WiFi on" will be given).
- Find the corresponding network name (e.g., B100_xxxxxx) in the Wi-Fi interface of your phone and connect to it (password: 12345678).
- Turn on the "PAPAGO Focus" app downloaded to your mobile phone for operation.
XIV. User notice
In order to better protect users' interests and avoid unnecessary problems, please read the following points in detail:
- When purchasing the machine, please ask the sales unit to fill in the relevant contents of the "Warranty Card" and stamp the official seal of the sales unit.
- The company only provides paid service for artificial damage to the faulty machine (such as water damage, dampness, improper use, etc.), private modification, or damage caused by maintenance from non-authorized service organizations, as well as for law enforcement recorder products beyond the warranty period. Users will need to pay for these services.
- If the machine is seriously damaged by human factors (such as liquid ingress or broken components), please sign a Maintenance Agreement with the maintenance unit during maintenance to determine if charges will apply.
- Law enforcement recorders affected by dampness, liquid intake, serious damage, or illegal modification may encounter further problems even after being handled by authorized maintenance institutions. The company does not guarantee complete repair for unrecoverable faults.
- If only the main unit (host) has problems and meets the conditions for replacement, only the host should be replaced. Other components cannot be replaced.
FCC Radiation Exposure Statement
This device meets the government's requirements for exposure to radio waves. The guidelines are based on standards developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies. The standards include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons regardless of age or health. The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged. Device types: Body Camera (FCC ID: 2AA58-B100PLUS) has also been tested against this SAR limit. SAR information can be viewed online at http://www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/. Please use the device FCC ID number for search. This device was tested simulating typical 0mm to body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, the use of accessories should maintain a separation distance between the user's bodies as mentioned above. The use of accessories should not contain metallic components in their assembly. Accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements and should be avoided.
FCC Warning
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
