Notes and Disclaimers

*To identify your iPhone model number, see support.apple.com/en-gb/HT3939. For details on 5G and LTE support, contact your provider and see apple.com/uk/iphone/cellular. Mobile data technology support is based on iPhone model number and configuration for GSM networks.

  1. Available space is less and varies due to many factors. A standard configuration uses approximately 12GB to 24GB of space, including iOS 18 with its latest features and Apple apps that can be deleted. Apple Intelligence on-device models can be deleted if Apple Intelligence is turned off and use approximately 7GB of space. Turning on Apple Intelligence will download the models again. Apple apps that can be deleted use about 4.5GB of space, and you can re-download them from the App Store. Storage capacity subject to change based on software version, settings and iPhone model.
  2. Size and weight vary by configuration and manufacturing process.
  3. iPhone 16e is splash, water and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 6 metres up to 30 minutes). Splash, water and dust resistance are not permanent conditions. Resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone; refer to the user guide for cleaning and drying instructions. Liquid damage not covered under warranty.
  4. Apple Intelligence is available in beta on all iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, with Siri and device language set to English (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, UK or US), as an iOS 18 update. Additional features and Chinese (Simplified), English (India, Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish language support available in early April, with more languages coming over the course of the year, including Vietnamese. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages.
  5. Available only in selected cities and public transport systems. Requires eligible device and OS version. See here for details.
  6. Roadside Assistance and Emergency SOS via satellite are included free for two years with the activation of any iPhone 14, iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 model. Connection and response times vary based on location, site conditions and other factors. See support.apple.com/en-gb/HT213885 for more information.
  7. iPhone 16e can detect a serious car crash and call for help. Requires a mobile data connection or Wi-Fi calling.
  8. Data plan required. 5G, Gigabit LTE, VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling are available in selected markets and through selected network providers. Speeds are based on theoretical throughput and vary based on site conditions and network. For details on 5G and LTE support, contact your provider and see apple.com/uk/iphone/cellular.
  9. FaceTime calling requires a FaceTime-enabled device for the caller and recipient and a Wi-Fi connection. Availability over a mobile network depends on provider policies; data charges may apply.
  10. Siri may not be available in all languages or in all areas, and features may vary by area. Internet access required. Mobile data charges may apply.
  11. All battery claims depend on network configuration and many other factors; actual results will vary. Battery has limited recharge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced. Battery life and charge cycles vary by use and settings. See apple.com/uk/batteries and apple.com/uk/iphone/battery.html for more information.
  12. Testing conducted by Apple in January 2025 using pre-production iPhone 16e units and software and USB-C Charge Cable with Apple 20W USB-C Power Adapter (Model A2305). Fast-charge testing conducted with drained iPhone units. Times measured from the appearance of the Apple logo as the unit started up. Charge time varies with settings and environmental factors; actual results will vary.
  13. Qi wireless chargers sold separately.
  14. Use of eSIM requires a wireless service plan (which may include restrictions on switching service providers and roaming, even after contract expires). Not all network providers support eSIM. Use of eSIM in iPhone may be disabled when purchased from some providers. See your provider for details. To learn more, visit apple.com/uk/esim.
  15. Wireless broadband recommended; fees may apply.
  16. In China mainland, you can use Apple Pay on the web in Safari only on compatible iPhone and iPad models using iOS 11.2 or later.
  17. Product recycled or renewable content is the mass of certified recycled material relative to the overall mass of the device, not including packaging or in-box accessories.
  18. We estimate the percentage of electricity-related emissions in our manufacturing that is sourced from low-carbon electricity by attributing to our carbon model low-carbon energy procured by our suppliers in the prior fiscal year, based on the supplier manufacturing allocations at time of product launch. This calculation assesses the suppliers for iPhone 16e. Included in this number is only low-carbon electricity that Apple or its suppliers have procured as part of Apple's Supplier Clean Energy Programme.
  19. Carbon reductions are calculated against a product-specific business-as-usual scenario as modelled by Apple: 1) No use of clean electricity for manufacturing or product use, beyond what is already available on the latest modelled grid (based on regional emissions factors). 2) Apple's carbon intensity of key materials as of 2015 (our baseline year for our 2030 product carbon neutrality goal). Carbon intensity of materials reflects use of recycled content and production technology. 3) Apple's average mix of transport modes (air, rail, sea, land) by product line across three years (fiscal years 2017 to 2019) to best capture the baseline transport emissions of our products.
  20. Cobalt in the battery claim uses mass balance allocation.
  21. Lithium in the battery claim uses mass balance allocation.
  22. Based on retail packaging as shipped by Apple. Breakdown of US retail packaging by weight. Adhesives, inks and coatings are excluded from our calculations of plastic content and packaging weight.
  23. Efficiency performance is based on the US Department of Energy Federal Energy Conservation Standards for Battery Chargers.
  24. Apple's Regulated Substances Specification describes Apple's restrictions on the use of certain chemical substances in materials in Apple products, accessories, manufacturing processes, and packaging used for shipping products to Apple's end-customers. Restrictions are derived from international laws or directives, regulatory agencies, eco-label requirements, environmental standards and Apple policies. Every Apple product is free of PVC and phthalates except for AC power cords in India, Thailand (for two-pin AC power leads), and the Republic of Korea, where we continue to seek government approval for our PVC and phthalates replacement. Apple products comply with the European Union Directive 2011/65/EU and its amendments, including exemptions for the use of lead such as high-temperature solder. Apple is working to phase out the use of these exempted substances for new products where technically possible.

Some features may not be available for all countries or all areas. View complete list.
