Preparation
You will need:
- A smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth 4.2 or later.
- The latest version of the SwitchBot app, downloadable via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- A SwitchBot account. Register via the app or sign in if you already have one.
Note: A SwitchBot Hub Mini (sold separately) is required for remote unlock passcode setting and receiving phone notifications.

Getting Started
- Remove the battery cover, install the batteries in the correct direction, and replace the cover.
- Open the SwitchBot app, register an account, and sign in.
- Tap '+' on the Home page, find and select the Keypad Touch icon, then follow the on-screen instructions to add your Keypad Touch.
Safety Information
Keep the device away from heat, humidity, fire, and water.
Do not operate with wet hands.
Avoid physical damage to this precision electronic product.
Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the product.
Do not use the product where wireless devices are not allowed.
Installation
Method 1: Install with Screws
Before installation you will need:
- Electric Drill ?
- Pencil ✏️
- Rubber Hammer ?
- Screwdriver ?
Step 1: Confirm Installation Position
Ensure distance is less than 5m (16.4ft)
Step 2: Determine Drill Bit Size and Drill Holes
- For concrete/brick: Drill with a 6 mm bit, insert expansion bolts using a rubber hammer.
- For wood/plaster: Drill with a 2.8 mm bit.
Step 3: Attach Mounting Plate to the Wall
Affix the mounting plate to the wall using screws. Ensure it is secure.
Step 4: Attach Keypad Touch to Mounting Plate
Align the metal buttons on the back of the Keypad Touch with the holes on the mounting plate. Slide the Keypad Touch downwards until it locks into place. Press firmly to ensure stability.
Method 2: Install with Adhesive Tape
Step 1: Confirm Installation Position
Ensure distance is less than 5m (16.4ft)
Step 2: Attach Mounting Plate to the Wall
Attach the adhesive tape to the back of the mounting plate and stick it to the marked position on the wall. Press firmly for 2 minutes.
Step 3: Attach Keypad Touch to Mounting Plate
Ensure the mounting plate is securely attached. Align the metal buttons on the back of the Keypad Touch with the holes on the mounting plate. Slide the Keypad Touch downwards until it locks. Press firmly to ensure stability.
Keypad Touch Removal
Tips: Do not force removal to avoid damaging the device.
Insert the ejection pin into the removal hole with pressure and pull the Keypad Touch upwards.
Keypad Touch Removal Alerts
Removal alerts are activated once the Keypad Touch is added to your SwitchBot account. Alerts are triggered each time the Keypad Touch is removed from the mounting plate.
Users can dismiss alerts by entering the correct passcode, verifying fingerprints, or using NFC cards.
Precautions
The product cannot control the Lock when the battery is depleted. Check battery levels via the app or device indicator regularly and replace batteries promptly. Carry a physical key when the battery is low.
If an error occurs, do not use the product and contact SwitchBot Customer Service.

Battery Replacement
A low battery is indicated by a red battery icon ? and a sound prompt. You will also receive an app notification. Replace batteries as soon as possible.
How to replace batteries: Remove the Keypad Touch from the mounting plate, open the battery cover, insert 2 new CR123A batteries, and reattach the Keypad Touch to the mounting plate.
Unpairing
If you are not using the Keypad Touch, navigate to its Settings page in the SwitchBot app to unpair it. An unpaired device cannot control the SwitchBot Lock. Proceed with caution.
Lost Device
If you lose your device, navigate to its Settings page in the SwitchBot app and remove pairing. You can re-pair the Keypad Touch if it is found.

Firmware Upgrades
Firmware updates introduce new features and fix defects. You will receive an upgrade notification via the SwitchBot app. Ensure the product has sufficient battery and your smartphone is within range during upgrades to prevent interference.
