2.4GHz Digital Wireless Video Baby Monitor
Parent Unit Overview
The parent unit features a 3.2-inch diagonal TFT LCD screen, power key, menu/OK button, navigation keys (up, down, left, right), zoom/view/scan button, exit/two-way talk button, speaker, DC jack, and a reset key (located behind the stand).
Key Indicators: Signal Strength, Alarm, Volume, Brightness, Zoom, Two-Way Talk, Lullaby, Camera, Battery Level, Temperature, Night Vision, VOX.
Baby Unit Overview
The baby unit includes a CMOS sensor, light sensor, microphone (MIC), infrared LEDs for night vision, power LED, antenna, speaker, pair key, DC jack, and a temperature sensor.
Getting Started
Turning On the Baby Unit:
- Connect the power adapter to the baby unit's DC jack.
- Plug the other end into an electrical outlet. The power LED will illuminate.
Turning On the Parent Unit:
- Connect the power adapter to the parent unit's DC jack.
- Plug the other end into an electrical outlet.
- Press and hold the power key on the parent unit. The power LED will light up, and the screen will display an image.
Infrared Night Vision:
The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low light conditions, displaying black and white images. The night vision icon will appear on the screen.
Key Operation
- Power Save/Screen Off: Short press the power key to turn the screen on/off.
- Volume Adjustment: Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) keys.
- Brightness Adjustment: Use the Left (◀) and Right (▶) keys.
- Camera View/Scan: Press the Scan key to cycle through connected cameras. The scan icon will be displayed.
- Digital Zoom & Pan/Tilt: Press and hold the Zoom key for 2 seconds to zoom in/out. Use navigation keys (◀, ▶, ▲, ▼) to pan and tilt. Exit zoom mode to adjust volume/brightness.
- Talk to Baby: Press and hold the talk key. A microphone icon will appear. Release to listen. The parent unit speaker is muted during two-way talk.
Menu Operation
- Pairing the Camera and Monitor:
- Press MENU.
- Navigate to the camera icon using ◀/▶ and select the camera with ▲/▼.
- Press OK to enter the sub-menu.
- Select ADD CAM and press OK.
- When 'Pairing' is displayed, press the PAIR button on the camera.
- A 'pair is succeed' message confirms successful pairing. Repeat if failed.
- Press the Exit key (?) to exit.
- Deleting a Camera:
- Press MENU.
- Navigate to the camera icon and select the camera to delete.
- Press OK, then select DEL CAM and press OK.
- Select the confirmation option and press OK.
- Press the Exit key (?) to exit.
- VOX Setting: Adjust microphone sensitivity (VOX-Lo for low, VOX-Hi for high). Press MENU, navigate to the VOX icon, select sensitivity with ▲/▼, and press OK to confirm. Press Exit (?) to leave.
- Temperature Unit Setting:
- Press MENU/OK.
- Navigate to the temperature icon.
- Select ℉ or ℃ with ▲/▼ and press OK to confirm.
- Press the Exit key (?) to exit.
- Enter the temperature selection interface, select Alert, and press OK.
- Turn the function ON or OFF with OK.
- To set alarm temperatures, select ON, press OK, and adjust high/low temperature limits using ▲/▼. Press OK to confirm each setting. The system returns to the superior directory automatically. Press the Return key to exit without saving.
- High temperature alarm range: 20-40 ℃. Low temperature alarm range: 0-19 ℃.
- Lullaby Setting:
- Press MENU.
- Navigate to the lullaby icon.
- Select one of 8 lullabies, silence, or looping with ▲/▼. Press OK to confirm.
- Press the Exit key (?) to exit. The lullaby icon appears when active.
- Alarm Setting:
- Press MENU.
- Navigate to the alarm icon.
- Set alarm frequency (0.5 to 4 hours) using ▲/▼. Press OK to confirm.
- Press the Exit key (?) to exit. The alarm icon appears when active. Press any key to acknowledge an active alarm.
Safety Instructions
- CAUTION: Keep the device away from children.
- Strangulation Hazard: Keep cords out of reach of children (more than 3ft/0.9m away). Use only provided AC adapters.
- Choking Hazard: Be careful when unpacking and assembling due to small parts.
- Read and Keep Instructions: This product does not replace responsible adult supervision.
- Water and Moisture: For indoor use only. Do not expose to rain, moisture, dripping, or splashing. Keep liquids away from the product.
- DO NOT: Use if the cord or plug is damaged. Contact service for repair to avoid risk. Do not attempt to repair or adjust electrical/mechanical functions as it voids the warranty.
- Ventilation: Do not block ventilation openings. Do not place in enclosed areas that impede airflow.
- Keep Away from Heat: Avoid direct heat sources, radiators, stoves, and direct sunlight.
- Power Source: Use only included AC adapters (rated 6V 600mA).
- Damage Requiring Service: Service by qualified personnel is required if objects fall into the product, liquid spills, units are exposed to rain, operate abnormally, or the enclosure is damaged.
Installation Guidelines
- Establish a radio link between parent and camera units. Range is affected by environmental conditions.
- Large metal objects, walls, and other electronic devices (TVs, computers, phones, Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth devices, microwave ovens) can block or interfere with the signal. Keep the baby monitor at least 5ft (1.5m) away from interfering devices or turn them off.
Placement of the Baby Monitor
- Place the camera on a desktop or mount on a wall.
- Avoid placing on soft surfaces or in corners.
- Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Keep away from TVs, microwave ovens, and radios. Move the camera if interference occurs.
- For optimum performance, place the camera within 6 feet (2 meters) of the monitored area.
Troubleshooting
- No reception on the monitor: Check power adapter connections, ensure units are ON, move monitor closer to camera, or re-pair units.
- Frozen Picture on Screen: Move monitor closer, check for metal objects or electronic interference, or check battery power.
- Audio feedback (high pitched noise): Ensure units are not too close, or lower monitor volume.
- Interference or poor reception: Repower the baby unit or press the RESET key on the parent unit.
