Installation
Before You Start
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician for instructions.
- Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures (e.g., direct sunlight) or dust, dirt, or excessive vibration.
Refer to the enclosed installation guide for more details.
Installation Diagram Description
The installation involves mounting the main unit using provided hardware. Key components include:
- Main unit chassis
- Mounting brackets (various types for 1-inch, 1/2-inch, and flush mounting)
- Screws: M5.0x6.0MM (4 pcs) and M5.0x8.0MM (4 pcs)

The main wiring harness connects to the unit via 18-pin and 20-pin connectors. Key connections include:

Fuse Note: The unit uses one 15 amp ATC mini style fuse located on the power connector. Ensure correct type and amperage when replacing.
Wiring Notes:
- Subwoofer output (Blue jacket with Black RCA) is active in all audio modes.
- A rear view camera (not included) can be used with the Camera input.
- For SiriusXM installation, consult the guide included with the SiriusXM Connect tuner (tuner and subscription sold separately).

Main Menu Description: From the main menu, press the desired icon to enter the corresponding mode: Radio/SXM/Android Auto/CarPlay/USB/BT Phone/BT Audio/Camera/AV In/Settings.
Tuner Operation
The tuner operation screen allows control over radio functions. Key elements include:

SiriusXM® Satellite Radio Operation
From the main menu, touch the SXM icon to access SiriusXM radio. The screen displays:

General Operation
From the Main Menu screen, select 'Setup' to access the Settings menu. Categories include General, Audio, Display, and Others. Adjust options using the touch screen.
Audio Operation
Press the "Settings" icon on the main menu to adjust Fader and Balance controls, and the Equalizer (8-Band Tone Control with 8 Presets EQ Settings).
Wired & Wireless CarPlay Operation
Wired Connection
- Connect an Apple CarPlay compatible device via USB.
- Press the Apple CarPlay icon. The Apple CarPlay home screen appears.
Wireless Connection
- Before using wireless CarPlay, turn on the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi function on your phone.
- Press the [Menu] icon on the main menu.
- Press the [CarPlay] icon to confirm wireless CarPlay.
- Press the [Search Device] icon to search for phone devices. Available devices will list.
- Find your desired device and press "Pair".
- A pass key will be displayed. Confirm the key on your iPhone and press "Pair", then "Allow" for popups.
- Press the [Connect] icon to confirm the connection.
- Press "Use CarPlay" on the iPhone. The unit configures and starts the application.
Tip: Pressing the [Device List] icon displays the CarPlay device list. This icon appears only when CarPlay is connected and multiple devices are available.
Wired & Wireless Android Auto™ Operation
Wired Connection
- Connect an Android Auto™ compatible device via USB.
- Press the Android Auto icon. The Android Auto home screen appears.
Wireless Connection
- Before using wireless Android Auto, turn on the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi function on your Android device.
- Press the [Menu] icon on the main menu.
- Press the [Android Auto] icon to confirm wireless Android Auto.
- Press the [Search Device] icon to search for phone devices. Available devices will list.
- Find your desired device and press "Pair".
- A pass key will be displayed. Confirm the key on your Android device and press "Pair", then "Allow" for popups.
- Press the [Connect] icon to confirm the connection.
Tip: Pressing the [Device List] icon displays the Android Auto device list. This icon appears only when Android Auto is connected and multiple devices are available.
Bluetooth Operation
Before using Bluetooth
A Bluetooth device must be paired (authenticated) with the unit to make hands-free calls or stream audio.
Pairing a New Device
The unit broadcasts a pairing signal when no devices are connected. Complete the pairing sequence from your Bluetooth device. The device name is "DCPA901W". Pairing may require multiple attempts on some phones.
Connect
The unit automatically connects to the last connected device if 'Auto Connect On' is set. If 'Auto Connect Off', manual connection is required.
Bluetooth Phone
From the main menu, touch the Bluetooth icon. A Bluetooth icon appears when a device is connected.
- Dialing a Number: Press the [Keypad] icon to display the keypad and dial a number.
- Making and Ending a Call: Press the [Call] icon to connect a call, and press the [End Call] icon to end a call.
- Transferring Audio: Press the [Transfer Audio] icon to switch audio between the head unit and mobile phone.
- Streaming Audio: Press [Play/Pause] to play or pause music. Press [Previous Track] to skip to the previous track. Press [Next Track] to advance to the next track.
One-Year Limited Warranty
Dual Electronics Corp. warrants this product to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship for one year from the original purchase date. Dual Electronics Corp. will, at its option, repair or replace the product with a new, renewed, or comparable product. This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser for products purchased from an authorized Dual dealer in the U.S.A.
What is covered: All defects in material and workmanship.
What is not covered: Software, installation/removal costs, damage from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, product modification, improper installation, incorrect line voltage, unauthorized repair, or damage during return shipment.
What to do for service:
- Check the troubleshooting guide in your owner's manual first.
- If service is needed, pack the product carefully (preferably in original packaging) and ship via prepaid transportation with a copy of the original receipt to an authorized service center.
- Include a written description of the problem, your name, return UPS shipping address (no P.O. Boxes), and a daytime phone number.

Exclusion of Certain Damages: This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties. Dual Electronics Corp. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits. It generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used per instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. There is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.
