Place on top of projector or table
Use this method when no display device is present in the meeting room. For placement on a projector or table, the process involves attaching two square Velcro pads to the top of a projector, followed by mounting the projector upside down (180 degrees) from a ceiling bracket or fixture.
3 Powering on the RoomCast
The RoomCast can be powered in two ways:
- AC Power Option: Connect the provided power adapter to the RoomCast and plug it into a wall outlet. The AC Power Option shows the power adapter's DC connector plugged into the RoomCast unit, with the adapter's wall plug inserted into a power outlet.
- PoE (Power over Ethernet) Option: Connect the RoomCast to an IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE switch using a CAT5e cable. The PoE (Power over Ethernet) Option illustrates a CAT5e Ethernet cable connecting the RoomCast unit to a PoE switch, which has multiple RJ45 ports.
Note: A PoE switch and CAT5e cable must be purchased separately if using the PoE option.
4 Connection
Connect the RoomCast to your display and network:
- Connect the TV using the HDMI cable.
- Connect to the network via Ethernet or PoE.
- The USB port is used to pair the WPP20 presentation pod manually.
The connection diagram shows the back panel of the RoomCast unit. It illustrates connections for HDMI to a TV, an Ethernet cable (or PoE cable) to a network, a USB port for pairing the WPP20, and the DC 12V power input.
