  13. CAUTION: To Reduce The Risk Of Electric Shock, Disconnect The Electrical Supply Circuit To The Fan Before Installing Light Kit.

WARNING

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, DO NOT DEND THE BLADES BRACKETS DURING ASSEMBLY OR AFTER INSTALLATION. DO NOT INSERT ANY OBJECTS IN THE PATH OF THE BLADES.

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SHOCK, THIS FAN MUST BE INSTALLED WITH AN ISOLATION WALL CONTROL / SWITCH.

Maintenance Tips

  1. Because of the fan's natural movement, some connections may be loose. To check the support connections, brackets and blades attachment 2 times a year. Make sure they are all secured (It is not necessary to dismantle the entire fan from ceiling).
  2. Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its appearance over the years. Do not use water when cleaning, use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. The plating is coated with a lacquer to minimize the ratio of discoloration or tarnishing which would damage the motor or the wood or possibly cause an electric shock.
  3. You can apply a light coat of furniture varnishing to the wood for additional protection and enhance its beauty. Surface scratched mark can be touch-up with a light coat of shoe polish.
  4. There is no need to oil your fan. The motor is created with lubricated sealed ball bearings.
  5. User are advised to contact the fan supplier to conduct regular examination of the fan suspension system at least once in every two years.

WARNING

MAKE SURE THE POWER IS SWITCH OFF AT THE ELECTRICAL PANEL BOX BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO ANY REPAIRS (REFER TO THIS SECTION), MAKING ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS.

French Warning: ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE L'ALIMENTATION EST COUPÉE AU NIVEAU DU BOÎTIER ÉLECTRIQUE AVANT DE TENTER DES RÉPARATIONS (VOIR CETTE SECTION), EN FAISANT DES CONNEXIONS ÉLECTRIQUES.

Fan Structure Drawing

The fan structure comprises the following main components:

  • Hanger Bracket
  • Remote control receiver
  • Downrod
  • Canopy
  • Canopy Cover
  • Decorative Cover
  • R pin
  • Cross pin
  • Motor Housing
  • Blades
  • Light Fixture
  • Acrylic cover
  • Screws

Associated hardware includes balance washers, wood screws, and expansion screws.

Installation of Canopy

After completing the wiring, attach the canopy to the hanger bracket by pushing it up and twisting to align the screws with the keyholes. Tighten the two screws firmly. Finally, attach the canopy cover with its magnet to the canopy.

Installation of Lightkits

  1. Install the LED lamp.
  2. Remove one screw from the light fixture and loosen the other screws by 3-4mm.
  3. Connect the lightkit wires: white wire to white, and blue wire to blue.
  4. Align the holes of the lightkits with the screws, push up, and twist clockwise.
  5. Fasten the first screw back into its hole and tighten all screws firmly.
  6. Carefully lift the acrylic cover by pushing it up to the light fixture and twist clockwise until it is held tightly in place by the three tabs.

Tools That May Be Used During Installation

  • Ladder
  • Screwdriver
  • Wire Strippers
  • 17/14 spanner
  • Drill

Wiring of Ceiling Fan

The motor assembly provides three groups of wires:

  • White and blue wires with a small connector for the lightkit.
  • Black (L1), Red (L2), and Brown (L3) wires with a big connector for the live wire for the fan.
  • Green/Yellow wire for ground.

Connect the motor wires to the remote control receiver: the big connector to the big socket and the small connector to the small socket. (Note: Do not connect the small connector for the fan if it does not have a lightkit).

Connect the motor, hanger bracket, hanger ball, and remote control receiver wires to the AC wires: White wire to Neutral, Black wire to Live, and Green/Yellow wire to Ground. Ensure the earth wire is longer than the safety cord by 60mm. This ensures that if the suspension system fails, the current-carrying conductor becomes taut before the earthling conductor, keeping the fan assembly effectively earthed.

Installation of Hanging Bracket

For Wooden Ceiling: Use four wood tooth screws to install the hanger bracket firmly.

For Concrete Ceiling: Use two expansion screws to install the hanger bracket firmly.

Installation of Downrod / Hanger Ball

  1. Remove the screw and pin from the hanger ball. Remove the "R" pin and cross pin from the downrod.
  2. Select a suitable downrod. Place the canopy and decorative cover onto the downrod, then thread the wire through the downrod.
  3. Reinstall the screws and pin to the hanger ball, ensuring the screws are fastened securely.
  4. Loosen the two setscrews in the downrod support (Note: The two setscrews above secure the downrod; the two screws below secure the central spindle and should not be loosened). Insert the downrod into the connector. Install the cross pin and secure it with the "R" pin. (Note: The wire may slightly block the cross pin). Fasten the two setscrews back. The "R" pin must be properly installed to prevent the cross pin from working loose.

Hanging of Ceiling Fan

Carefully lift the fan assembly and attach it to the hanger bracket that is connected to the outlet box. Ensure the rod ball's groove is aligned with the tab on the hanger bracket.

Installation of Fan Blades

  1. Remove the screws on the blade bracket.
  2. Place the blade onto the bracket and install the blade using the screws.
