Interacting with Cubby

Cubby the Curious Bear offers over 100 sound and motion combinations. He can move his head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and arms, producing a variety of fun sounds.

Key Interactions:

Roaring: Make a loud roar, and Cubby may challenge you to a roaring contest.
Music Play: See what Cubby does when you play music.
Talking: Talk to Cubby, and he will babble back. For best results, stand about six inches away.
Surprise Actions: Press Cubby's left paw to make him raise his arms to be picked up, play peek-a-boo, or surprise you.

Operation

To operate Cubby, slide the switch to the I (ON) position. To conserve battery life, slide the switch to the O (OFF) position when not in use.

Nighttime Mode:

Slide the switch to the night mode position (symbol not specified in text, likely a moon or star icon).
Cubby will enter a 5-minute sequence, closing his eyes, making sleepy sounds, and playing soft music or ambient forest sounds.
You can change the sequence by pressing his left paw. Other activation points are inactive in this mode.
Cubby will shut off after the sequence is complete.
Turn the switch back to the I (ON) position to wake him up.

Sleep Mode:

After about a minute of inactivity, Cubby will go into sleep mode (but will not shut off).
Wake him by pressing his mouth or left paw.

Posing:

Pose Cubby to stand and sit. A small click sound is normal during posing.

Feeding & Care

Give Cubby his bottle or treat, and he will make eating sounds. Gently nudge the bottle or treat into his mouth until it opens.

Cubby enjoys petting on his head and tummy.
He loves to be picked up and hugged.
He will quickly fall asleep when laid on his back.

Note: The bottle is not intended to be filled with liquid.

Tips & Troubleshooting

Cubby functions best indoors on a hard, flat surface. Avoid grass and carpeting.
If Cubby doesn't make eating noises when being fed, try nudging the bottle further into his mouth, depressing his lower jaw.
For better results when feeding Cubby his honeycomb treat, try holding the treat vertically.
If Cubby isn't responding properly, wait for him to finish his previous action first.
If he is still unresponsive, it may be time to change the batteries.

Cleaning

Surface clean only.
Gently wipe with a damp cloth.
Do not use detergent or stain removers.
Do not get wet.
