Position the filter so that the instructions, warnings, and pressure gauge are visible to the operator. Also, position the filter so that the piping connections, control valve, and drain port are convenient and accessible for servicing and winterizing. 2. Install electrical controls (e.g., on/off switches, timers control systems, etc.) at least 2m (5 feet) from the filter. This will allow you enough room to stand clear of the filter during system start-up. 3. Provide sufficient clearance around the filter to permit visual verification that the clamp is properly installed. 4. Provide sufficient space above the filter to remove the filter lid for cleaning and servicing. This distance will vary with the model of filter you are using. 5. Position the filter to safely direct water drainage. Rotate the valve to safely direct purged air or water. Water discharged from an improperly positioned filter or valve can create an electrical hazard as well as damage property. 6. Make all plumbing connections in accordance with local plumbing and building codes. Filter plumbing connections are provided with an O-ring seal. Use only a silicone base lubricant on the O-rings. 7. The maximum working pressure of this filter is 3 bar. Never subject this filter to pressure more than this amount, even when conducting hydrostatic pressure tests. Pressures above 3.5 bar can cause the lid to be blown off, which can result in severe injury, death, or property damage. Simply remove the cartridge element and flush the cartridge with hose water or clean the cartridge with a Filter Cleaner. NOTICE After the service life of the filter Cartridges expires or is damaged, the user can purchase other filter elements of the same size for installation . WARNINGS BEFORE INSTALLATION This filter operates under high pressure. When any part of the circulating system (e.g., lock ring, pump, filter, valves, etc.) is serviced, air can enter the system and become pressurized. Pressurized air can cause the lid to blow off which can result in severe injury, death, or property damage. To avoid this potential hazard, follow these instructions. 5 1. Before positioning valves and before beginning the assembly, disassembly, or adjustment of the lock ring or any other service of the circulating system: a. Turn off the pump and shut off any automatic controls to ensure the system is not inadvertently started during the servicing. b. open-air relief valve. c. wait until all pressure is relieved the pressure gauge must readzero (0). 2. Whenever installing the filter lock ring, follow the filter lock ring installation instructions exactly. 3. Once service on the circulating system is complete, follow system restart instructions exactly. 4. Maintain the circulation system properly. Replace worn or damaged parts immediately (e.g., lock ring, pressure gauge, relief valve, o rings, etc.) 5. Be sure that the filter is properly mounted and positioned according to the instructions provided. WARNINGS BEFORE OPERATION 1. This filter operates under pressure. When the lock ring is installed properly and operated without air in the water system, this filter will operate in a safe manner. 2. The pressure gauge is the primary indicator of how the filter is operating. Maintain your pressure gauge in good working pressure. 3. Clean your filter when pressure reads between 80-100kpa higher than the original starting pressure. Your filter pressure reading will increase as it removes dirt from your pool. However, this increase in pressure will vary due to different bathing loads, temperatures, weather conditions, etc... INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS These instructions must be followed exactly to prevent the lid from blowing off during system restart or later operation. 1.Perform the following steps before working on any part of the circulating system (e.g., lock ring, pump, filter, valves, etc.). 2.Turn the pump off and shut off any controls to ensure that the system is not inadvertently started during servicing. Install the pipeline connections on the INLET and OUTLET marked fittings (make sure the glues on the connections are right-dried before starting the 6 filtration pump!). 3.Control the lock ring and be certain the O-ring is in position. 4.Tight the screw of the lock ring. 5.Restart the circulation system and open the air relief valve rapidly to release air trapped in the filter. 6.Close the air relief valve after a steady stream of water drops appears. Tips The system is not working properly if either of the following conditions occurs. 1.A solid stream of water does not appear within 30 seconds after the pump's inlet basket fills with water. 2.The pressure gauge indicates pressure before water outflow appears. If either condition exists, shut off the pump immediately, open valves in the water return line to relieve pressure, and clean the air relief valve. FILTER MAINTENANCE 1.Turn the pump off and shut off any automatic controls to ensure that the system is not inadvertently started during servicing. 2.Open the air relief valve and the waste drain valve. 3.Remove the locking ring and then remove the tank lid by placing your hands in the lifting handles and pulling straight up. 4.Remove the cartridge elements from the center support tube. 5.Using a garden hose with a nozzle, direct water spray at the cartridge element o dislodge and wash away accumulated foreign dirt. Water may be sprayed on the outside as well as the inside of the cartridge element for thorough cleaning. 6.Turn the cartridge element over several times during the washing operation to clean the media thoroughly. 7.Clean and remove debris from inside the filter tank and from the O-ring and its seat on the tank base. 8.Replace the clean cartridge elements on the internal support tube and install the assembly into the filter tank body, making sure it is fully seated. 9.Replace the tank lid onto the tank body making sure it is fully and firmly seated on the tank base. 10.Place the lock ring over the tank lid, and tight firmly the screw. 7 11.Open the air relief valve and restart the circulation pump. 12.Close the air relief valve after a steady stream of water drops appears. Filter replacement instructions Before replacing the cartridge filter, make sure to complete the following four steps: 1.Turn off the water pump. 2.Close the inlet and outlet valves. 3.0pen the top air release valve. 4.Unscrew the bottom drain screw. Step 1:Use a 14mm wrench to loosen the clamp bolts and nuts in counterclockwise way, then gently tap the clamp with a rubber mallet to loosen it. Step 2: Lift the Tank -Upper Half Kit vertically upwards to a height of at least 85cmbefore re-moving it. Step 3: Remove the positioning frame. 8 Step 6: Lift the four lower filters vertically upwards to a height of at least 95cm before removing them. Step 5: Remove the connecting frame. Step 4: Lift the four upper filters vertically up- wards to a height of at least 48cm before remov-ing them. Step 7: Check if the positioning lower seat is detached. lf it is,apply lubricant to the O-ring of the inner-threaded elbow pipe. Then align the four fixing holes of the position- ing lower seat with the support columns of the barrel body and press them in. Step 8: Insert the four filters into the four over-flow pipes.ensuring the filter holes fit into the stops on the positioning lower seat. Step 9:Insert the connecting frame, making sure the four stops of the frame fit into the four filter holes. 9 Step 12: Align the Upper Half Kit with the Lower Half Kit of the barrel. Slide it vertically into place, checking that the gap between the lid and body is correct. Then, fit the clamp into place and tighten the clamp nuts. Step 11:Insert the positioning frame into the four filter holes Step 10:Insert the four filters into the four over-flow pipes, ensuring the filter holes fit into the stops on the connecting frame. NOTE Algae, calcium, clay, sustain oil, and body oils can form a coating on the cartridge elements which may not be easily removed with normal hosing. We recommend soaking the cartridge elements in a de-greaser and / or descaled liquids to dissolve the dirty particles. TROUBLESHOOTING Air entering in your filter is dangerous and can cause the lid to blow off. Correct any conditions in your filtration system that allow air to enter into the system. Some common ways to identify air entering the system: 1.Low water level in pool or spa - skimmer is starving for water with pump running. Refill water to pool or spa. 10 2.Air bubbles coming out of water return lines into pool or spa with pump running. 3.f pressure drops on gauge, check skimmer basket and pump basket first for debris. If the baskets are clean, shut off main power and control if the pump is working properly or check if there is an obstruction in the line between the pool and the pump. 4.The pressure gauge is an important part of the filter system. It is your primary indicator of how the system is operating. Maintain your pressure gauge in good working condition. Check the operation of your pressure gauge in the following manner: a.The pressure gauge should go to zero (0) when the system is turned off and pressure is relieved. b.The pressure gauge should indicate pressure when the system is operating. c.The pressure gauge should be readable and not damaged in any way. d.Replace the pressure gauge if it is not meeting the requirements as above. WARNING 1. This filter operates under high pressure. When any part of the circulating system (e.g., clamp, pump, filter, valves, etc.) is serviced, air can enter the System and become pressurized. Pressurized air can cause the lid or valve to Be blown off which can result in severe injury, death, or property damage. 2.Turn pump off before changing the valve position. 3.To prevent damage to the pump and for proper operation of the system, Clean pump strainer and skimmer baskets regularly 11 Manufacturer: Shanghaimuxinmuyeyouxiangongsi Address: Shuangchenglu 803nong11hao1602A-1609shi, baoshanqu, shanghai 200000 CN.
