Use only the provided rechargeable batteries (1.2V AAA 400mAh Ni-MH). Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries (alkaline, standard, rechargeable). Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries. The parent unit turns on when batteries are installed. Replace batteries when the low battery light flashes or the unit beeps twice every 10 minutes.
- Press down on the battery compartment cover to slide it out.
- Insert the rechargeable batteries into the battery compartment, observing polarity (+ and -).
- Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks.
Replace Battery
To replace batteries, slide open the battery compartment cover, remove old batteries, and install new ones following the steps above.
Connect the Baby Monitor
Use only the supplied power adapters. Ensure adapters are oriented correctly and cords are out of reach of children. Both the baby unit and parent unit turn on when connected to power.
Notes:
- Ensure the POWER / LINK light is on after fully inserting the parent unit's power plug.
- Ensure the baby unit is on. If the parent unit is not linked, the POWER / LINK light will flash. Move the parent unit closer to the baby unit (minimum 6.5 feet / 2 metres).
- Ensure the POWER light is on after fully inserting the baby unit's power plug.
Operation
Charge the Parent Unit Battery
The parent unit powers on automatically when connected and its battery is installed for the first time or after a power outage. The battery is fully charged after 16 hours of continuous charging. Charging time is shorter if the parent unit is turned off. Standby time varies with volume, usage, and battery age.
