Sensors
Sensor Placement
Thermo-Hygro Sensor Installation
- Use the notch at the top rear of the sensor to hang it with a nail, or insert a mounting screw at the front of your sensor.
- Install your sensor on a north-facing wall or in a shaded area. Under an eave is preferable to avoid readings skewed by sunlight heat.
- The maximum wireless transmission range to the station is 121 meters (400 feet) in open air, excluding walls or floors.
- Ensure your sensor is installed vertically to allow moisture to drain properly.
Additional Sensors
Whether you connect to the La Crosse View app or not, this station can display data from up to 4 additional sensors. This data shares the same area as pressure readings. Examples include water leak or rain sensors.
Auto-Scroll Icon
When the auto-scroll function is active, the auto-scroll icon [auto-scroll-icon] appears. Each reading will display for 6 seconds. Continue pressing the 'CAP. SUP.' button until the icon disappears to stop auto-scroll.
Adding Sensors
- Press and hold the 'CAP. SUP.' button until you see the sensor reception indicator [sensor-reception-icon] start to animate.
- Install batteries in your sensor. If the sensor has a TX button [tx-button], press it to force the transmission signal. This button is usually located in or near the sensor's battery compartment. The LED on the sensor will flash once.
- Your sensor should connect within 3 minutes, briefly displaying its ID and type on the LCD screen. The sensor reception indicator [sensor-reception-icon] will display continuously on the screen when a sensor is connected.
- Press the 'CAP. SUP.' button to cycle through the data you wish to display on the LCD screen. The auto-scroll icon [auto-scroll-icon] will appear if it is activated.
Note: Upon initial power-up or after a factory reset, additional sensors may connect automatically to your station.
