Setup and Connections
Essential Setup
- Place the unit on a flat and level surface, stable and free from vibration.
- Remove the tie-wrap that is holding the tonearm.
- Connect AC adaptor to the Power Jack of the unit.
Note: Do not plug the AC power adaptor into a power outlet before all assembly is completed. Before turning the power on, ensure all connection settings are correct. Always turn off the power when connecting or disconnecting.
Stereo System Connection
RCA Jacks
- The RCA Jacks output analog line-level signals and can be connected directly to active/powered speakers or the appropriate input of your stereo system.
- The Red plug connects to the Right channel and the White plug connects to the Left channel.
Note: The RCA Jacks are not designed for passive/unpowered speakers. Connecting to passive speakers will result in a very low volume level.
Aux Input Connection
Aux Input Connection
Connect an audio device to this unit to play music through its speakers. Use a 3.5mm auxiliary cable between your audio device and the Aux In Jack.
Note: The aux in connection automatically overrides turntable and Bluetooth functions. To resume turntable or Bluetooth functions, unplug the auxiliary cable from the aux in jack. The Function Indicator will be purple.
Turntable Operation
- Rotate the On/Off Volume Knob to turn on the power. Set the Function Switch to PHONO position. The Function Indicator will be red.
- Set the Speed Switch accordingly.
- Place the record on the turntable. Use the 45 RPM Adapter if necessary.
- Remove the stylus protector from the stylus assembly.
- Release the tonearm Hold Down Clip.
- Use the Tonearm Lever to lift up the tonearm.
- Gently move the tonearm over the record to the desired playback point. Set the Tonearm Lever back to the down position; the tonearm will descend slowly onto the record and begin playback.
- When the record finishes, use the Tonearm Lever again to raise the tonearm and return it to the Tonearm Rest. Release the lever to let the tonearm rest. To suspend playback, repeat these steps.
- Lock the Tonearm Clip to secure the tonearm.
Note: To avoid stylus damage, ensure the stylus guard is in place when moving or cleaning the turntable. When the turntable is not in use, remember to lock the hold down clip.
Platter Auto-stop
If the Auto-stop Switch is set to ON, the platter stops spinning automatically when the record ends. If the turntable stops playing before the end of the record, set the switch to OFF to resolve this issue.
Pitch Control
The turntable speed can be adjusted by approximately 10% using the Pitch Control Knob. Rotate clockwise to increase speed, counter-clockwise to decrease speed.
Needle Replacement
Removing Needle
- Gently pull down the front edge of the needle.
- Pull needle forward.
- Pull out and remove.
Installing Needle
- Position the needle with its tip facing down.
- Line up the back of the needle with the cartridge.
- Insert the needle with its front end at a downward angle and gently lift the front of the needle upward until it snaps into place. (SNAP!)

- Turn on the Bluetooth feature of your audio device and search for "CROSLEY CR8009" to pair.
- Once paired, a short confirmation sound will be heard from the unit.
- Play and stream music from your device to the unit.
Note: Bluetooth version - 5.0

- Set the turntable's function switch to the middle position for Bluetooth output. The function indicator will slowly flash blue.
- Set the device you wish to connect to pairing mode.
- Your turntable will connect automatically to your audio device when both are in pairing mode.
- When pairing is complete, the function indicator will be solid blue.
Note: If pairing is unsuccessful, ensure your audio device is not paired/connected to another Bluetooth device.
Turntable Maintenance
- Avoid touching the stylus tip with fingers. Do not bump the stylus on the turntable mat or a record's edge.
- Clean the stylus frequently with a soft brush using a back-to-front motion only.
- Clean records to remove dust or grease using a record cleaning brush and solution.
