Product Description
The Crosley CR6253B Anthology Turntable is a record player with built-in speakers. The following components are identified:

Initial Setup
Essential Setup
- Place the unit on a flat, level, stable, and vibration-free surface.
- Remove the tie-wrap securing the tonearm.
- Connect the AC adapter to the unit's Power Jack. Note: Do not plug the AC adapter into the power outlet until assembly is complete. Ensure all connections are correct before powering on. Always turn off power when connecting or disconnecting.
Stereo System Connection
RCA Jacks
The RCA Jacks output analog line-level signals. Connect them to active/powered speakers or your stereo system's appropriate input. The Red plug is for the Right channel, and the White plug is for the Left channel. Note: These jacks are not designed for passive/unpowered speakers; volume will be very low.
Aux Input Connection
Connect an audio device using a 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the Aux In Jack to play music through the unit's speakers. Note: The aux input connection overrides turntable and Bluetooth functions. Unplug the cable to resume those functions. The Function Indicator will be purple when using Aux input.
Turntable Operation
- Turn on the power using the On/Off-Volume Knob.
- Set the Function Switch to PHONO position. (The Function Indicator will be red).
- Set the Speed Switch to the desired record speed.
- Place the record on the turntable. Use the 45 RPM Adapter if necessary.
- Remove the stylus protector from the stylus assembly. Note: Keep the stylus guard in place when moving or cleaning the turntable to prevent stylus damage.
- Release the tonearm Hold Down Clip. Note: Lock the clip when the turntable is not in use.
- Lift the tonearm and position it over the record. Gently lower the tonearm to begin playback.
- When the record finishes, gently lift the tonearm and return it to the Tonearm Rest. To pause playback, repeat these steps.
- Lock the Tonearm Clip to secure the tonearm.
Pitch Control
Adjust the turntable speed by approximately 10% using the Pitch Control Knob. Turn clockwise to increase speed, counter-clockwise to decrease speed.
Platter Auto-stop
When the Auto-stop Switch is ON, the platter stops automatically at the end of a record. If the turntable stops prematurely, set the switch to OFF.
Needle Replacement
Removing Needle
- Gently grasp the sides of the needle.
- Pull the needle away from the cartridge.
Installing Needle
- Position the needle with its tip facing down.
- Align the back of the needle with the cartridge.
- Insert the needle's front end at a downward angle and gently lift the front upward until it snaps into place.
Bluetooth Operation
- Set the Function Switch to Bluetooth mode. (The function indicator will be flashing blue).
- Enable Bluetooth on your audio device, search for "CROSLEY CR6253", and pair.
- Upon successful pairing, a confirmation sound will play, and the function indicator will turn solid blue.
- Play and stream music from your device. Note: Bluetooth version 5.1.
Bluetooth Output Operation
This turntable can transmit audio to other Bluetooth devices like headphones or speakers.
- Place the Bluetooth audio device close to the turntable.
- Set the turntable's function switch to the middle position for Bluetooth output. (The function indicator will slowly flash blue).
- Set the target device to pairing mode.
- The turntable will automatically connect to the audio device when both are in pairing mode.
- The function indicator will be solid blue upon successful pairing. Note: If pairing fails, ensure the audio device is not already paired with another device.
Turntable Maintenance
- Avoid touching the stylus tip with fingers or bumping it on the turntable mat or record edge.
- Clean the stylus frequently with a soft brush, moving from back to front.
- Clean records to remove dust/grease using a record cleaning brush and solution.
- Clean the turntable lid and turntable cabinet with a slightly damp microfiber cloth. Note: Use only recommended cleaners; avoid alcohol, benzene, or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.

Troubleshooting
There is no power
- Power adapter is not connected correctly.
- No power at the power outlet.
- (ERP energy saving feature) If no audio input for 20 minutes, power may cut off. Turn power off and on again to resume.
Power is on, but the platter does not turn
- Turntable's drive belt has slipped off.
- An aux in cable is plugged into the aux in jack; unplug it.
Turntable is spinning, but there is no sound, or sound not loud enough
- Stylus protector is still on.
- Tonearm is lifted by the lever.
- Headphone is plugged in.
