- Optional drain kits are available for internal or external drainage.
New Installation
- Frigidaire® PTAC Sleeves are recommended for proper installation. See accessories pages for sleeve options.
- Standard PTAC installation requires a maximum wall thickness of 13-1/2", unless a wall sleeve is used.
- Consider a subbase if the PTAC unit protrudes more than 4" from the wall. See accessories pages for subbase options.
Replacement Installation
- Consult the Product Installation Guide to identify existing wall-sleeve manufacturer and size compatibility.
- Proper installation and slope are critical. Frigidaire® PTAC Sleeve options are recommended.
- Ensure foam seals provide a good barrier to prevent air recirculation between the grille and outdoor coil tube sheets.
- Using non-Frigidaire grilles with Frigidaire sleeves may require an Accessory Baffle Kit to ensure a proper seal and prevent air recirculation, which can reduce performance and cause damage.
