10. Hints and Tips

10.1 General

  • Remove larger food residues into the waste bin.
  • Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand; use a program with a prewash phase if needed.
  • Use the full space of the baskets.
  • Ensure items do not touch or cover each other for complete water reach.
  • Use dishwasher detergent and rinse aid separately or use multi-tablets, following packaging instructions.
  • Select a program according to load type and soil degree. ECO is the most efficient for crockery and cutlery with normal soil.

10.2 Using rinse aid and detergent

  • Use only dishwasher-specific rinse aid and detergent. Other products can damage the appliance.
  • Detergent tablets may not fully dissolve with short programs. Use tablets with long programs to prevent residues.
  • Do not use more than the recommended detergent quantity.

10.3 Loading the baskets

  • Only wash dishwasher-safe items.
  • Do not wash items made of wood, horn, aluminum, pewter, and copper.
  • Do not wash items that absorb water (sponges, cloths).

  • Items are correctly positioned in the baskets.
  • The program is suitable for the load and soil degree.
  • The correct detergent quantity is used.

10.5 Unloading the baskets

  1. For improved drying and energy efficiency, use the AirDry option. Otherwise, open the door about 10cm at the end of the program.
  2. Allow tableware to cool for 30-40 minutes. Hot items can be damaged.
  3. Remove items from the lower basket first, then the upper basket.

Note: Water may remain on the sides and door at the end of the program.

11. Care and Cleaning

WARNING! Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance and disconnect the mains plug.

Dirty filters and clogged spray arms negatively affect washing results. Check and clean them regularly.

11.3 Internal cleaning

  • Carefully clean the appliance, including the rubber gasket of the door, with a soft damp cloth.
  • Use a dishwasher-specific cleaning product monthly for optimal performance. Follow product instructions.
  • Do not use abrasive products, pads, sharp tools, strong chemicals, scourers, or solvents.
  • Regularly using short-duration programs can cause grease and limescale buildup. Run long-duration programs at least twice a month.

11.4 External cleaning

  • Clean with a moist soft cloth.
  • Use only neutral detergents.
  • Do not use abrasive products, pads, or solvents.

1) Refer to the rating plate for other values.

2) If using hot water from an alternative source (e.g., solar panels), use the hot water supply to decrease energy consumption.

14. Installation

Ensure a minimum 2mm gap between the top of the dishwasher and the underside of the benchtop.

Ensure gaps on both sides are equal and no greater than 5 mm per side.

The hose should not be extended by more than 2 metres to avoid pump out problems.

Remove the entire plastic membrane from the sink trap spigot and fit the drain hose with a clamp.

Ensure there is a minimum 400 mm straight section for the drain hose.

Install the appliance under a kitchen counter, adjacent to a water tap and a water drain.

Water hoses and mains cable openings are necessary for venting.

14.1 Adjusting the height of the appliance

  1. Remove the adjustable plinth.
  2. To adjust front height, turn the 2 front feet counterclockwise.
  3. To adjust rear height, turn the middle screw counterclockwise.

14.2 Adjusting the level of the appliance

Correct leveling ensures the door closes and seals properly. If the door does not close correctly, loosen or tighten the adjustable feet.

After adjusting, assemble the plinth.

Once installation is complete, ensure the bottom of the adjustable plinth is aligned with the floor.

14.3 Water inlet hose

Connect the inlet hose to a water tap with a 3/4'' BSP thread spout. Connecting to cold water supply is recommended for best performance.

Energy savings can be made by connecting to a Solar water system and using economy options, but water temperature must not exceed 60° C.

Inlet water supply

  • Water pressure: 50-800 kPa (0.5-8 bar).
  • Water flow rate: minimum 10 L/minute.
  • If pressure exceeds 800 kPa, use a pressure reducing valve. Check for leaks.
  • If temperature exceeds 60° C, use a tempering valve. Check for leaks.

CAUTION! Always use new hoses. Old hoses must not be used. Examine the water inlet hose every twelve months for deterioration and replace if necessary.

Water pressure must be within the limits indicated in "TECHNICAL INFORMATION". Check your local water authority for average mains pressure.

An opening of at least 45 mm x 90 mm is needed to pass the safety valve through kitchen cabinets.

14.4 Water drain hose

The highest point of the drain hose must be no more than 600 mm from the floor and must have a continuous fall to the plumbing connection.

The drain hose can be lengthened using additional lengths and connectors (purchased from Electrolux Spare Parts). The extension must not exceed 2 metres.

The drain hose must be free of obstructions.

Remove the sink plug when the appliance drains to prevent water returning to the appliance.

If the sink spigot has a non-return valve, it can cause incorrect draining. Remove this valve.

If connecting to a trap spigot under the sink, remove the plastic membrane. Failure to do so can cause blockages from food residue.
