  • Check to make sure the appliance is undamaged. In case of any damage, contact your supplier immediately and do NOT use the appliance.
  • Remove all the packing material.

After the 30 minutes, let the machine cool down and rinse the grid in water and dry all parts. Do not clean the heating elements.

Preparations Before Wall Mounting

Before installation: check the salamander and its brackets for any damage. Note: mounting screws and tools are not included.

  • Important: Make sure the appliance is mounted within the reach of the electrical outlet.
  • Important: Do not mount the salamander on drywall or paneling without first anchoring to a wall stud!
  • Important: Before starting mounting, make sure you have all the tools, such as screwdriver, electric drills, measuring tape, marking pencil (All are not included).
  • The hinged distance is about 380mm between the screws.
  • The salamander must be securely anchored on a wall by attaching two of the brackets with 1/4” bolts to the centre of an interior vertical wall stud and the other two brackets to the wall using 1/4” expanding toggle bolts (not included).
  • Locating wall studs: Anchoring the brackets on a wall stud assures that your salamander will not pry loose during operation. Wall studs are spaced either 16 or 24 inches on center running floor to ceiling as part of a wood structure’s framing. It is recommended to use an electric stud finder (sold separately) to locate wood (or steel) studs more quickly and accurately for the location where you want to mount the salamander. Note: be aware that items such as ducts, electrical wires, and water pipes may be behind the walls in your work area. Special care when installing fasteners.
  • For attaching the salamander securely to other wall surfaces such as concrete or brick, see your local hardware store for recommendations on using the appropriate concrete and masonry fasteners and anchors for your particular structure.
  • After you have mounted the bolts, simply slide in the salamander from the top onto the bolts.

  • Place the crumb tray in the appliance.
  • Rotate the temperature dial (lower dial) to start heating.
  • The orange light will go on until the desired temperature is reached.

  • The green light will go on until the desired time is reached.

Note: The orange light might go on when the temperature drops; the machine will start reheating till the desired temperature is reached again.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • After use, unplug the appliance from the power socket and let it cool down.
  • Clean the inside and outside of the body, grid, and crumb tray with lukewarm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth. Do not clean the heating elements.
  • Use a brush to remove any encrustations from the grid.
