Introduction

Welcome to the OUKITEL RT9 User Manual. This guide provides comprehensive instructions for using your rugged tablet safely and effectively.

Device Overview

The OUKITEL RT9 is a rugged tablet designed for durability.
Front View: Features a large display screen, a front-facing camera at the top, and a power button and volume buttons on the side.
Side Views: Include speakers, microphones, the Charger/Type-C port, and the SIM/TF card slot.
Rear View: Displays the rear camera and a flashlight.

Getting Started

Booting Up

The OUKITEL RT9 has a non-removable battery. To power on the device, press and hold the Power button for 3-5 seconds.

Inserting SIM/TF Card

To ensure your tablet can make calls and use data, follow these steps to insert the SIM and/or TF card:

1. Locate the SIM/TF card slot on the side of the device.
2. Insert the ejector pin into the small hole next to the slot and press gently to pop out the card tray.
3. Carefully remove the card tray.
4. Place up to two Nano SIM cards, or one Nano SIM card and one TF (microSD) card into the tray. Ensure the metal contacts face downwards and align the beveled edge of the card with the corresponding slot shape.
5. With the tablet facing upwards, reinsert the card tray into the slot, following the direction of the arrow, until it clicks into place.

Core Functions

Sending SMS and MMS

SMS: Open the SMS app, select 'New Information', enter a phone number or browse your contacts, select 'Edit Information' to type your message, and then tap 'Send'.

MMS-video: When composing a text message, you can select images, videos, or other files to attach. You can also take a new photo or record a video immediately. Select 'Send' to send the message.

Language Switching

To change the device language:

1. Go to the Main Menu and navigate to 'Settings' > 'System' > 'Language & Input Method'.
2. Select 'Language' > 'Add Language'.
3. Choose the desired language from the list. The system will automatically return to the language interface.
4. To set the newly added language as the primary language, tap and hold its icon in the language bar and drag it to the first position.

The maximum Electromagnetic Radiation Absorption Ratio (SAR) for this product is ≤2.0W/kg. This device complies with the requirements of the national standard.

Battery Information

The RT9 features an internal battery with a large capacity of 11000 mAh. It supports 18W Fast Charging. You can monitor the battery status via the icon displayed on the top right of the screen.

Safety and Warnings

Important Safety Guidelines: To ensure safe usage of the product, you must strictly adhere to the following rules:

• The tablet should be kept at least 15cm away from any medical implants or pacemakers. Never place the device in your coat pocket.
• Do not expose the device or its batteries to high temperatures or heat-generating equipment such as direct sunlight, heaters, microwave ovens, ovens, or water heaters. Overheating of the battery can cause an explosion.
• When charging is complete or not in progress, disconnect the charger from the device and unplug the charger from the outlet.
• If the device is equipped with a non-removable battery, do not attempt to replace it yourself to avoid damaging the battery or the device.
• Use only OUKITEL-approved power sources, chargers, and batteries. Unapproved or incompatible accessories may cause fire, explosion, or other hazards.
• Do not disassemble or reset the battery, insert other objects, or immerse it in water or other liquids to avoid battery leakage, overheating, fire, or explosion.
• Do not drop, crush, scratch, or puncture the battery. Excessive external pressure can lead to internal short-circuiting and overheating.
• OUKITEL is not responsible for accidents caused by non-standard charging equipment.

Maintenance

To ensure safe and effective use of your tablet and to maximize its service life, please follow these guidelines:

• Refer to the manual for instructions on opening and maintaining the tablet. Do not attempt unauthorized disassembly or procedures.
• Avoid dropping, knocking, or shaking the tablet. Rough handling can damage the screen, internal circuitry, and delicate components.
• Clean the tablet case with a soft cotton cloth dampened with water and mild soap. For the lens and display, use a clean, dry, soft cloth.
• When the charger is not in use, unplug it from the power outlet. Avoid leaving a fully charged battery connected to the charger for extended periods to prevent overcharging and reduce battery lifespan.
