Motor Operations
Pairing Motor with Controller
Entering Zigbee Connection Mode: Follow the specific instructions for your controller to enter pairing mode.
Pairing Process:
1. Ensure the motor is ready for pairing (typically indicated by a flashing LED).
2. Use your controller to initiate the pairing sequence. This involves specific button presses, such as pressing the 'Prg' button followed by the 'Jog x1' button on the controller, which is then confirmed by an LED indication on the motor.
Note: Pairing cannot be performed under group channel or 0 channel.
Direction Reverse
To reverse the motor's direction, press the designated button sequence on the controller. For example, pressing 'Prg', then 'Jog x1', then 'Down', then 'Jog x1' will reverse the direction, confirmed by a motor jog.
Setting Upper & Lower Limits
1. Manually jog the motor to the desired upper limit position using the controller.
2. Press the 'Prg' button followed by the 'Jog x1' button to set the upper limit.
3. Manually jog the motor to the desired lower limit position.
4. Press the 'Prg' button followed by the 'Jog x1' button to set the lower limit.
Note: Favorite position settings can only be done after upper and lower limits are set.
Note: If the motor does not jog, the maximum or minimum speed has already been reached. There are 3 adjustable speeds.
Adjusting Upper & Lower Limits
To fine-tune the set limits, jog the motor to the desired position and re-save the limit using the 'Prg' and 'Jog x1' sequence.
Adjusting Motor Speed
The motor speed can be adjusted. If the motor does not jog, it indicates that the maximum or minimum speed has been reached. There are 3 speeds available for adjustment.
Setting and Cancelling Favorite Position
Setting Favorite Position: Move the motor to the desired position, then press 'Prg' followed by 'Jog x1' to save it as the favorite position.
Hot Key to Favorite Position: Press the designated favorite position button on the controller to move the motor to the saved favorite position.
Cancelling Favorite Position: Follow the specific button sequence to cancel the saved favorite position.
One-touch/Constant-touch Mode
This feature allows for different operational modes. Specific button sequences on the controller activate either one-touch (press and release) or constant-touch (hold) operation.
Removing Controllers
Remove a Single Controller: Use the controller's specific function to remove a single paired controller (e.g., "Remove controller B via pre-existing controller A").
Remove All Controllers: Follow the sequence: Press 'Prg', then 'Jog x1', then 'Down', then 'Jog x1'. Repeat this sequence. The LED will indicate when all controllers are removed.
Note: All settings, including limits, are saved even after controllers are removed. Controller A/B are already paired to the motor.
Cancelling Limits
To cancel the set upper and lower limits, press the 'Prg' button followed by the 'Stop' button ('Jog x1') twice. The LED will indicate when limits are cancelled.
Note: It is forbidden to run the motor if installed into the shade without limits. Limits should be set immediately to protect the shade.
Zigbee Connecting and App Control
Connection Requirements:
- Ensure your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
- The Tuya Zigbee gateway device must be added to the "Smart Life" APP first. Refer to the gateway's manual for details.
Download and Setup:
- Search for "Smart Life" in your app store or scan the QR code (QR code excluded).
- Complete account registration and login to the app.
- Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and the Tuya Zigbee gateway is added to the "Smart Life" App.
- Prepare the motor for connection:
- Way 1: Press and hold the 'H' button for 6 seconds until the LED flashes orange.
- Way 2: Press the 'H' button twice quickly, then press and hold the 'H' button for 6 seconds until the LED flashes orange.
- The motor's LED will then flash (typically orange, then blue) indicating it's in Zigbee connecting mode.
- In the "Smart Life" App, find your added Tuya Zigbee gateway. Tap '+' to add a sub-device.
- Select "LED already blink" (or similar confirmation that the device is in pairing mode). The app will automatically search for the motor device.
- After successful addition, click the device icon to modify its name (e.g., "Master Roller Shade"). The motor's LED will turn solid for 10 seconds then turn off upon successful pairing.
- The motor can now be controlled via the App from anywhere, anytime. The app interface may show status like "Opening" or percentage control (e.g., "49%").
