HEMNES Bed Frame Assembly Instructions

This document provides instructions for assembling the IKEA HEMNES bed frame.

Parts List

Ensure you have all the following parts before beginning assembly:

Assembly Steps

  1. Step 1: Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard using the provided hardware. Insert wooden dowels (105163) into the pre-drilled holes. Insert cam dowels (118331) and secure with cam locks (113434).
  2. Step 2: Attach the center support rail. Insert wooden dowels (191315) and secure with screws (110789).
  3. Step 3: Attach the side rails to the headboard using cam dowels (113434) and cam locks (122332).
  4. Step 4: Attach the footboard to the side rails using wooden dowels (101352).
  5. Step 5: Slide the bed slats into the grooves on the side rails.
  6. Step 6: Secure the bed slats using cam locks (113434) and cam dowels (122332).
  7. Step 7: Attach the remaining side rail to the headboard and footboard using screws (118331).
  8. Step 8: Insert wooden dowels (101352) into the side rails.
  9. Step 9: Attach the center support rail to the headboard and footboard using cam locks (113434) and cam dowels (122332).
  10. Step 10: Secure the bed frame by tightening all cam locks.
  11. Step 11: Insert wooden dowels (101352) into the side rails.
  12. Step 12: Attach the headboard to the side rails using screws (100092) and the Allen key (101352).
  13. Step 13: Secure the footboard to the side rails using screws (100087).
  14. Step 14: Attach the headboard to the side rails using screws (111451).
  15. Step 15: Insert wooden dowels (101359) into the side panels.
  16. Step 16: Attach the side panels to the bed frame using screws (104875), brackets (100089), and nuts (102335). Use the wrench (100092) to tighten.
  17. Step 17: Insert wooden dowels (101359) into the side panels.
  18. Step 18: Attach the side panels to the bed frame using screws (104875), brackets (100089), and nuts (102335). Use the wrench (100092) to tighten.
  19. Step 19: Insert wooden dowels (101359) into the headboard.
  20. Step 20: Attach the headboard to the side rails using screws (104875), brackets (100089), and nuts (102335). Use the wrench (100092) to tighten.
  21. Step 21: Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard using screws (110789).
  22. Step 22: Attach the center support rail brackets using screws (105307) and (116791).
  23. Step 23: Slide the center support rail into the attached brackets.
  24. Step 24: Place the bed slats onto the support rails.
  25. Step 25: Secure the bed slats using screws (117327).
  26. Step 26: Attach the side rails to the bed frame using screws (124401).
  27. Step 27: Secure the side rails using screws (117327).
  28. Step 28: Attach the side rails to the bed frame using screws (117327).
  29. Step 29: Insert wooden dowels (191315) and secure with screws (105163).

Final Check

Ensure all screws and cam locks are tightened securely. The bed frame is now assembled.
