Vehicle types and corresponding mounting points:
L1H1 LHD (2m60): Mounting points ID 1 (front) and ID 2 (back).
L2H1 LHD (3m00): Mounting points ID 1 (front) and ID 2 (back).
L1H1 RHD (2m60): Mounting points ID 3 (front) and ID 4 (back).
L2H1 RHD (3m00): Mounting points ID 3 (front) and ID 4 (back).
Diagrams illustrate the placement of mounting points (ID 1-4) on the vehicle roof for Left-Hand Drive (LHD) and Right-Hand Drive (RHD) configurations.
5 Installation
Step 1: Preparation
Clean the area on the vehicle roof where the adapter rails will be mounted.
Step 2: Positioning Rails
For LHD 2m60 models: Position rail A at 189 cm from the front edge.
For LHD 3m00 models: Position rail A at 229 cm from the front edge.
Ensure rails are correctly aligned with the vehicle's roof rail and roof door.
Step 3: Marking and Drilling
Mark the drilling points on the roof using a pencil.
Drill Ø3 mm pilot holes at the marked points.
Enlarge the holes to Ø9 mm using the appropriate drill bit.
Step 4: Securing Blind Rivets
Insert Ø9 mm blind rivets into the drilled holes.
Use the [Rivet Gun] to secure the blind rivets.
Step 5: Surface Treatment and Sealing
Prepare the mounting surfaces by abrading lightly with P120 [Sandpaper].
Clean the surfaces thoroughly with [Degreaser] and a clean [Cleaning Cloth].
Apply Sika 252 [Sealant] to the mounting points and around the drilled holes to ensure a watertight seal.
Step 6: Attaching Adapter Rails
Attach the adapter rail pieces (x1 each) to the vehicle roof.
Secure the rails using M6 x 16 mm screws (TX30) (x4).
Step 7: Curing Time
Allow the sealant to cure for at least ⏳ 48h before proceeding.
Step 8: Mounting the Awning
Mount the awning onto the installed adapter rails.
Step 9: Securing the Awning
Drill Ø3 mm holes as indicated for securing the awning.
Step 10: Final Fastening
Secure the awning using 4.2 x 16 mm screws (TX20) (x4).
