ESCORT M2 Features

The ESCORT M2 Dash Cam includes the following components:

Power/Emergency Recording Button: Short press for emergency recording/lock, double press to take a photo, hold to power on/off.
Micro SD Card Slot: For inserting the memory card.
Power In: Connection for power.
USB: Micro-USB connector for video download to a computer.
Camera Reset Button: Recessed button to reset the camera.
Status Indicator LED:
- Red LED blinks when the camera is recording.
- Blue LED lights when the camera is powered up.

Note: Some components from your compatible detector's mount will be used. Your M2 is pre-mounted on the Camera Mount Arm.

Attach ESCORT M2 to EZ Mag Mount™

Follow these steps to attach the ESCORT M2 to the EZ Mag Mount™:

Remove your radar detector from the sticky mount and detach the EZ Mag Mount™.
Attach the ESCORT M2 to the EZ Mag Mount™. Use the longer carriage bolt and washers included with the M2. Secure it with the sticky cup mount thumb screw (included with your detector).

[Warning] Tighten Thumb Screw firmly to ensure stable video recordings.

Mount to Your Windshield

Follow these steps to mount the ESCORT M2 to your windshield:

Attach the radar/laser detector to the EZ Mag Mount™ with the M2 installed.
Connect the M2 power cable to the radar/laser detector.
Connect the Smart Cord to the M2 and a 12V power source.
Mount to windshield, adjust radar/camera angle, and tighten assembly screws. Ensure the M2 (not the detector) is centered on your windshield.

Diagrams in the original document illustrate correct and incorrect positioning for centering and angle adjustment.

Download the Drive Smarter App from the App Store or Google Play and install it on your smartphone. Follow the tutorial on the app for features such as:

Adjust Volume
Change Language
Change Resolution
Format SD Card
Update Firmware
And more!

Troubleshooting

If your unit is not operating properly, please follow these troubleshooting steps:

Ensure the power cord to the M2 and the pigtail cord from the M2 to the detector are properly connected.
Verify the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket is clean and free of corrosion.
Confirm the power cord adapter is firmly seated in the cigarette lighter and the power LED is on.
Check that the micro SD memory card is properly inserted into the memory card slot.
If there is an SD card error, format the SD card from the app. Note: This will delete all files stored on the card.
