Device Interface Overview
The Dune HD Solo 8K features a comprehensive interface for connectivity and control.
Front Panel:
- Power Button: Turns the device on/off.

Installation and Initial Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Dune HD Solo 8K media player:
- Connect your Dune HD Player to your TV using the provided HDMI cable.
- Connect the power adapter to the player and plug it into a power outlet.
- Connect the player to the internet. You can use an Ethernet cable (not included) for a wired connection or configure Wi-Fi settings later.
- Turn on your Dune HD Player and your TV. On your TV, select the input source that corresponds to the HDMI connection you used.

Remote Control Operation
The remote control requires Bluetooth pairing with the player before it can be used.
Bluetooth Pairing:
- Point the remote directly at the player and press any button. The remote and player should pair automatically.
- If automatic pairing fails or the remote was previously paired: Press and hold the
ENTER
andV+
buttons on the remote simultaneously for 3 seconds. This will put the remote into pairing mode. You can then use the player's menu (navigate to Setup / System / Remotes & accessories) to unpair and re-pair the remote if necessary.
Remote Button Functions:
- POWER: Turns the player on or off.
- TV Section (TV DOWN, TV UP, TV INPUT, TV POWER): These buttons are programmable and can learn commands to control your TV or other compatible equipment.
- FAV1: Accesses the "Recent" menu or a user-defined function.
- FAV2: Accesses the "Favorites" menu or a user-defined function.
- MIC: Activates the built-in microphone for voice search functionality.
- Navigation Buttons (Arrows, ENTER, RETURN, TOP MENU, POP UP MENU, INFO): Used for navigating through menus, selecting items, returning to previous screens, accessing the main menu, and displaying contextual information or available actions.
- MUTE: Toggles the audio output mute on or off.
- AUDIO (AUD): Allows switching between different available audio tracks.
- SUBTITLE (SUB): Allows switching between different available subtitle tracks.
- MOUSE: Toggles the air mouse mode for pointer control.
- Playback Controls (PLAY/PAUSE, STOP): Used for controlling media playback.
- Volume Controls (V+/V-): Adjusts the player's volume level.
- Page Navigation (P+/P-): Scrolls through lists or switches TV channels.
- Numeric Keypad (0-9): Used for entering numbers and text.
- CLEAR: Deletes the last entered character or removes the currently selected item.
- SELECT: Changes text input mode or adds an item to a selection list.
- Color Buttons (A - Red, B - Green, C - Yellow, D - Blue): Perform various context-specific functions within applications.
Note: The specific functionality of certain buttons may depend on the application currently running on the player. Not all applications support all remote buttons.
Using the Remote to Control Your TV
You can program four specific buttons on the remote control (TV DOWN

) to operate your television or other audio-visual equipment.
Programming Procedure:
- On your Dune HD remote, press and hold the
TV UP
andTV DOWN
buttons simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds. - Press one of the four programmable buttons (

,TV INPUT
,TV POWER
) that you wish to configure. - Place your Dune HD remote and the original remote for the target device on a flat surface. Align them so that their infrared (IR) emitters are facing each other, with a small gap of about 1 cm between them.
- Press and hold a button on the original remote. Continue holding it until the LED indicator on your Dune HD remote stops blinking, indicating that the command has been successfully learned.
- If you wish to program additional buttons, repeat steps 1-4 for each desired button.
Resetting the Remote to Factory Defaults:
To restore the remote control to its original factory settings, press and hold the ENTER
and TOP MENU
buttons on the remote simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds.
