The BLU G33 is not waterproof. Keep the phone away from water or other liquids to prevent damage.

Emergency Calls

Ensure your mobile phone is switched on and in a service area. From the home screen, tap the phone key and dial the emergency number.

Battery Usage

For optimal performance and extended battery life, it is recommended to fully charge the battery before initial use. Additionally, complete two to three full charge cycles initially.

IMEI Information

To check your phone's IMEI, dial *#06#.

Key Functions

The BLU G33 smartphone features several key components and controls:

FunctionDescription
Power On / OffUsed to power the device on/off and lock the screen. Long press the power button to power on. While powered on, long press the power off and volume up key to power off.
VolumeAdjusts the ringer volume, call volume, and multimedia volume.
HomeThe home button pauses any current action and returns to the home screen.
Recent AppsOpens a list of recently opened applications, allowing convenient switching. This option also allows closing open applications by swiping them to the side.
BackReturns to the previous screen; closes the keyboard, any open program, or any menu option.
USB PortCharges the device and transfers data such as documents, music, and video between your device and a PC.
Headset PortConnect earphones to this port for hands-free capabilities. Also used for listening to music or FM radio.
Front CameraA high-resolution front camera for taking pictures and video, ideal for self-portraits.
Rear CameraA high-resolution rear camera for taking pictures and video.
FlashProvides light for pictures in low-light conditions. Can also be used as a flashlight.
Camera ButtonLaunches the phone's camera application.

Introduction

Installation of the SIM Card

Warning: Keep the SIM card out of reach of children. The SIM card and its contacts are easily damaged by scratching or bending. Exercise caution when carrying, installing, or removing the SIM card.

Note: Contact your cellular phone service provider directly to obtain your SIM card.

To insert SIM card:

  1. Remove the rear cover of the phone.
  2. Insert the SIM card into the designated slot.
  3. Insert the SD card into its slot for additional storage capacity.
  4. Insert the battery, replace the rear cover, and power on the phone.

Device Configuration

When you first power on your BLU G33 phone, a series of steps will guide you through basic feature setup.

Insert SIM

Insert your SIM card to allow the phone to register with the network.

Select Language

On the Welcome screen, scroll to select your preferred language. This step also offers options to adjust Vision Settings, such as magnification, font, and display size. An Emergency Call can also be placed from this screen.

Connect to Wi-Fi

This step enables the device to connect to the internet. Select the desired Wi-Fi network. Unsecured Wi-Fi networks can be connected to without credentials, while secured networks require a password. It is recommended to connect to a Wi-Fi network to check for software updates before startup to avoid data overages.

Copy Apps & Data

This step allows you to transfer applications, pictures, music, and other data from a previous device. You also have the option to set up the device as new.

Add Your Account

Sign in to your Google™ Account to streamline services like Google Play™, Google Drive, and Google Pay. If you do not have a Google account, you can create a new one. If the device is not recognized by your Google account, a security verification may be required.

Google Services

Add Google services including Backup and Restore, Location Services, Install Updates, and Apps.

Device Protection

Set up device protection with a PIN or Password. This can be done at a later time.

Finalize Setup

The final step allows you to configure Google Assistant. You can also add another email address, control information visible on the phone's lock screen, and review additional apps. This step can be skipped and configured later.

Radiation Exposure Statement

This device meets government requirements for exposure to radio waves. It is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications Commission of the U.S. Government.

The exposure standard for wireless devices uses the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). The FCC SAR limit is 1.6W/kg. SAR tests are conducted using standard operating positions (10mm) accepted by the FCC, with the device transmitting at its highest certified power level across all tested frequency bands.

FCC Hearing-Aid Compatibility (HAC)

The BLU G33 phone complies with FCC Hearing Aid Compatibility requirements. The FCC has adopted HAC rules for digital wireless phones, requiring certain phones to be tested and rated under the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) C63.19-2011 hearing aid compatibility standards. The ANSI standard for hearing aid compatibility includes two types of ratings:
