Description of Parts
The Salter 9L Dual Air Fryer features a main unit with two independent cooking compartments, each equipped with a handle. A digital control panel is located on the front of the unit.

Automatic Switch-off
The air fryer has an automatic switch-off feature that activates when the set cooking time has elapsed, indicated by a timer sound.
[Note] If the air fryer needs to be turned off before the set cooking time has elapsed, switch off and unplug it from the mains power supply.
Dos and Don'ts
DO:
- Check that the cooking compartments are securely fitted before use.
- Only hold the cooking compartments by the handles.
- Take care when removing compartments, as steam may be emitted.
DON'T:
- Invert the cooking compartments with the non-stick coated cooking trays still attached, as excess oil may collect at the bottom.
- Cover the air fryer or its air inlets, as this will disrupt airflow and affect cooking results.
Care and Maintenance
Before cleaning or maintenance, switch off and unplug the air fryer from the mains power supply and allow it to cool fully.
- STEP 1: Wipe the air fryer main unit with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- STEP 2: Clean the non-stick coated cooking trays and the cooking compartments in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Do not immerse the air fryer main unit in water or any other liquid.
Never use harsh or abrasive cleaning detergents or scourers, as this could cause damage.
[Note] The air fryer should be cleaned after each use.
Instructions for Use
Before First Use
- STEP 1: Before connecting to the mains power supply, wipe the air fryer main unit with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- STEP 2: Clean the non-stick coated cooking trays and cooking compartments in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
- STEP 3: Place the air fryer main unit onto a stable, heat-resistant surface at a height comfortable for the user.
[Note] When using the air fryer for the first time, a slight smoke or odour may be emitted. This is normal and will soon subside. Allow for sufficient ventilation. It is advised to run the air fryer without food for approximately 10 minutes before first use to prevent initial smoke or odour affecting food taste.
Assembling the Air Fryer
- STEP 1: Fit the non-stick coated cooking trays into the cooking compartments, ensuring they are secure.
- STEP 2: Slide the cooking compartments into the air fryer main unit, checking that the compartment numbers match the display numbers.
[Note] The air fryer comes preassembled. The cooking compartments should be closed securely before use, as not doing so will prevent the air fryer from working.
Using the Control Panel
When the air fryer is plugged in and switched on at the mains, the unit will beep and the power button will illuminate. Tap the power button to switch on the air fryer; the LED display will show ‘ON'.
Preset Functions
To use a preset cooking function, first press ‘1' or '2' to select the cooking compartment, then press one of the function buttons. The display will cycle between preset time and temperature. Adjust time and temperature using the `+/-` buttons. Press `START` to begin heating. Time and temperature can be changed during use. Press `STOP` to pause, `START` to resume. Cooking will automatically switch off when complete. To switch off the air fryer, press and hold the power button.
Manual Function
Set time and temperature manually by pressing ‘MANUAL', then adjust with `+/-` buttons. Press `START` to begin heating. Time and temperature can be changed during use.

Using the Sync Cook Setting
Use the sync setting when cooking different foods in each compartment to ensure both finish at the same time.
- STEP 1: Tap '1' and set required settings for the first compartment.
- STEP 2: Repeat for the second compartment by tapping '2'.
- STEP 3: Press `SYNC`; the button will illuminate.
- STEP 4: Press `START` to begin cooking.
Using the Match Cook Setting
Use the match setting when cooking the same foods in both compartments to ensure they finish at the same time.
- STEP 1: Tap '1' and '2' then set the required settings for the second cooking compartment.
- STEP 2: Press `MATCH`; the button will illuminate.
- STEP 3: Press `START` to begin cooking.
[Note] The power button will remain illuminated whilst the unit is plugged in.
Using the Air Fryer (General Operation)
- STEP 1: Plug in and switch on at the mains power supply. The air fryer will beep and the power button will illuminate.
- STEP 2: Tap the power button to switch on the air fryer; the LED display will show ‘ON'.
- STEP 3: Use the digital control panel to set cooking time and temperature using the `+/-` buttons.
- STEP 4: Remove the cooking compartments by pulling them out using the handles. Place them onto a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- STEP 5: Place ingredients into the non-stick coated cooking trays, then slide the compartments back into the air fryer main unit.
- STEP 6: Set cooking time and temperature as required, or use function buttons which cycle through presets. Adjust with `+/-` buttons.
- STEP 7: Some ingredients may require shaking halfway through cooking. Remove compartments, shake gently, then slide back to continue cooking.
- STEP 8: Once cooking is complete, the air fryer will beep and switch off. Check readiness; if not cooked, close compartments and adjust time. If cooked, empty contents into a bowl or onto a plate, using heat-resistant tongs if needed.
[Note] If cooking time or temperature needs changing during use, use the `+/-` buttons; the air fryer will automatically adjust.
[!] CAUTION: Do not tip food directly into a bowl or onto a plate, as excess oil may collect at the bottom of the compartments and leak. Exercise caution when opening and closing the cooking compartments during use, as they will become very hot.
[!] WARNING: Nominal voltage is still present even when the air fryer is switched off. To permanently switch off, switch off and unplug from the mains power supply.
Storage
Check that the air fryer is cool, clean, and dry before storing in a cool, dry place. Never wrap the cord tightly around the air fryer; wrap it loosely to avoid causing damage.
