Reman Engines Offer Reliability and Affordability

The Reman 3054 Engine is remanufactured using only genuine Cat parts. Caterpillar offers nine backhoe loader engine arrangements with turbocharged and naturally aspirated configurations. These engines are priced competitively to rebuilders and are guaranteed to lower engine repair, rebuild, or replacement costs. They provide the same performance and emission standards as new engines and are dynamometer tested at the factory before shipment. Caterpillar offers standard worldwide warranty coverage on these engines and applies simple core acceptance criteria to easily determine core refunds.

The Reman 3054 is available in four engine arrangements that are Tier 1 compliant. Purchasing Cat Reman engines and components supports recycling by keeping old parts out of landfills and giving them new life.

Core Acceptance Criteria for 3054 Engines

To receive a full core refund for a 3054 Engine, the following criteria must be met:

• Cylinder block must not be visibly cracked, broken, or welded.
• The core must be a non-failed, running engine that passes bar-over criteria.
• It must be returned on a Caterpillar^® engine stand.
• The core must be fully assembled and complete.
• There should be no non-operational damage, such as mishandling, excessive rust, corrosion, pitting, or fire damage.
• It must be a Cat 3054 Engine.

A damaged core refund is available if:

• The cylinder block is visibly cracked, broken, or welded.
• The core is a failed, non-running engine.
• There is evidence of bearing, piston, connecting rod, valve, gear train, or other internal failure.

A refund will not be issued if:

• The core is scavenged (an add charge may apply for missing parts).
• The core is disassembled.
• There is non-operational damage (mishandling, excessive rust, corrosion, pitting, or fire damage).
