Your AA/AAA Battery Charger is designed to charge Energizer Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries.
Please review this manual before use.

This manual contains important safety and operating instructions and warranty information for your charger. Before using your charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the battery charger, batteries, and device.
Charger Features Include:
- Charges 2 or 4 AA NiMH batteries or 2 or 4 AAA size NiMH batteries at a time.
- There are two green LEDs on your charger to indicate when batteries are charging.
- Reverse Polarity Protection: Protects the charger and batteries against damage from incorrectly installed batteries.
CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
For Best Results, Charge Batteries Before The First Use
- Load the batteries in the chamber as indicated by the polarity symbols (+/-) marked inside. NOTE: When charging only 2 batteries, place batteries in the two positions to the left or right. Both AA and AAA size batteries can be charged at the same time.
- Lift the prongs of the AC plug until fully extended. Plug charger into a standard 110-120 volt AC outlet. The green LED will light during charging.
- It is normal for batteries to become warm while charging and is no cause for alarm.
- Rechargeable batteries naturally lose some power when stored. For optimum performance, charge before each use.
- Unplug charger when charging is complete.
Not charging all the way?
- Gently rub battery ends with a clean pencil eraser or cloth to remove any residue
- Try completely discharging them and completely charging them again

RECHARGEABLE TIPS
Rechargeable batteries are ideal for high drain or frequently used devices (more than once per week) and can be charged 100s of times.
NiMH are a great economical power solution if used in Digital Camera's, MP3 Players, CD players, 2 Way Radio's/Walkie Talkies, Remote Control Cars, Game Boys, and Photoflash equipment.
NiMH Batteries are a good economical power solution if used in Toys, Infant Devices, and PDA's. NiMH batteries are not recommended for:
- Remote Controls & Clocks - use Alkaline batteries such as Energizer Max
- Medical & Safety Devices (e.g. smoke detectors) unless they are specifically designed and recommended to use NiMH Rechargeable Batteries
For Best Performance of your Energizer Rechargeable Batteries
- Fully Charge your Rechargeable Battery before the first use
- Store batteries at room temperature under dry conditions
- Make sure you use a charger designed to charge NiMH batteries

Rechargeable batteries can be recycled free of charge at any Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC) participating location. See http://www.RBRC.org for details.

- To reduce the risk of injury, charge only rechargeable NiMH batteries with the charger. Other types of batteries might burst, causing personal injury or damage to your charger.
- For indoor use only. Do not expose charger to rain, snow or excessive moisture.
- Never use an extension cord or any attachment not recommended by Energizer. Using in non-approved accessories may result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
- Do not use plug adapter for another country without checking if a voltage transformer is needed.
- Do not operate the charger if it has been subjected to shock or damage.
- Do not disassemble the charger. Incorrect reassembly may result in risk of electric shock or fire.
- Always unplug the charger from outlet before attempting maintenance or cleaning.
- Never alter the plug provided. Improper connection can result in a risk of electric shock.
- Never use as a power source for any electrical equipment.
This charger is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with charger.
WARNING: Read charger instructions carefully. Charge only rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries. Charging any other type of rechargeable or non-rechargeable (disposable) batteries may cause them to leak, rupture or explode, causing injury.
CAUTION: Risk of electrical shock. Dry location use only.
Batteries may become hot to touch while charging.
BATTERY WARNING: Charge only with standard household nickel metal hydride battery chargers. Do not open battery, dispose of in fire, put in backwards, mix with used or other battery types or short circuit – may ignite, explode, leak or get hot causing injury.

This Energizer Battery Charger and these Energizer Nickel-Metal Hydride Rechargeable Batteries are warranted only to the original United States or Canadian purchaser upon presentation of proof of original purchase to be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as you own your Energizer Battery Charger and these Energizer Nickel-Metal Hydride Rechargeable Batteries and this product is manufactured by or for Energizer and such warranty is not transferable to any subsequent end user. Not applicable to damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, or modification. Repair or replacement of charger at Energizer's option. Send charger to Energizer, P.O.
