Installation

Choose the installation position based on the specific gravity of the gas:

• For gases heavier than air: Install 0.3-1.0 meters from the floor, within a 1.5-meter radius of the gas source.
• For gases lighter than air: Install 0.3-1.0 meters from the ceiling.

Operating Instructions

The gas detector can be used independently.

1. Upon connecting to a 12V DC power supply, the green LED will flash once per second for approximately 3 minutes for the internal sensor's warm-up state. After this period, the green LED will illuminate steadily, indicating normal operation.
2. When a gas leak is detected, the red LED will flash, and the buzzer will sound an alarm. The detector will return to its detection state once the gas has dispersed.
3. Voice Alerts: For gas leaks, the detector announces "Attention please, gas leaking." For carbon monoxide leaks, it announces "Attention please, carbon monoxide gas leaking, please open the window and the door."
4. A long buzzer sound and a continuously lit red LED indicate an internal sensor failure. Disconnect power and contact customer service.
5. If the detector malfunctions, disconnect power and restart it. If the issue persists, contact customer service.

Gas Detector Test

To test the detector, expose it to a small amount of gas (e.g., from an unlit lighter) at a distance of 5 cm from the air intake holes. After the self-test, press the test button. The CO indicator will flash red, accompanied by a voice alarm. If the test button is not pressed, the detector will return to its normal state. The alarm will cease, and the detector will resume its detection state when the gas concentration falls below the alarm level.

1. Ensure the detector is correctly installed and connected to a power source to function.
2. Perform periodic maintenance as instructed.
3. Test the detector every six months.
4. Environmental changes, electrical interference, or tampering may affect product performance. Users should take necessary precautions for their safety and property.

Do not dispose of electrical appliances with unsorted municipal waste. Use separate collection facilities and contact your local government for information. Improper disposal can lead to hazardous substances entering the environment and harming health.

Warranty Conditions

Reimo Reisemobil-Center GmbH provides a three-year warranty on CARBEST products, in addition to statutory warranty rights. The warranty period begins on the invoice date and covers the Federal Republic of Germany. If material or manufacturing defects occur, Reimo will, at its discretion, repair or exchange the product free of charge. Original parts replaced become Reimo's property, and new/replacement parts become the customer's property. Repairs or replacements do not extend or restart the warranty period.

To claim warranty service, contact the dealer or Reimo directly. Provide proof of purchase (invoice copy). Shipping costs for warranty claims within Germany will be reimbursed. The manufacturer's warranty does not limit statutory warranty rights.

Warranty exclusions include normal wear and tear, improper use, incorrect installation or operation, unauthorized repairs, use of non-original parts, environmental factors, natural disasters, accidents, and improper transport.
