Quick Start Guide
For Windows Users: Keycap Replacement
If you are a Windows user, please find the appropriate keycaps in the box, then follow the instructions below to find and replace the following keycaps.
Keyboard Layout Overview:
- Top Row: Esc, Function keys (F1-F12), Num Lock, Caps Lock, System Toggle (Win/Mac).
- Number Row: Keys 1 through 0, each with primary symbols (!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, (, )). Also includes Minus/Plus, Backspace, Insert, Home, Page Up, Forward Slash, Asterisk.
- Alpha Row 1: Tab key, followed by Q, W, E, R, T, Y, U, I, O, P keys. Then Left Bracket, Right Bracket, Colon/Semicolon, Apostrophe/Quote, and Enter key.
- Alpha Row 2: Caps Lock key, followed by A, S, D, F, G, H, J, K, L keys. Then Colon/Semicolon, Apostrophe/Quote, and Enter key.
- Alpha Row 3: Left Shift key, followed by Z, X, C, V, B, N, M keys. Then Comma/Less Than, Period/Greater Than, Forward Slash/Question Mark, and Right Shift key.
- Bottom Row (Modifiers): Left Control, Left Option/Fn, Left Alt, Spacebar, Right Alt, Right Option/Fn, Right Control.
- Bottom Row (OS Keys): Left Windows/Command key, Left Alt, Right Alt, Right Windows/Command key.
- Numpad: Standard numeric keypad layout with keys 0-9, Decimal, Enter, and arithmetic operators (+, -, *, /).
1. Switch To The Right System
Please make sure the system toggle on the top left corner has been switched to the same system as your computer's operating system.
System Toggle: A switch located on the top left of the keyboard allows selection between "Win" (Windows) and "Mac" operating systems.

2. The Backlight
To change the lighting effect: Press Fn + Q.
To turn the backlight on/off: Press Fn + Tab.

3. Adjust The Backlight Brightness
To increase the backlight brightness: Press Fn + W.
To decrease the backlight brightness: Press Fn + S.

4. The Keychron Launcher App
Please visit launcher.keychron.com to use the online Launcher web app. This app allows you to remap keys, create macro commands, or flash the firmware.
If the Launcher cannot recognize your keyboard, please reach out to Keychron support for instructions.
Note: The online Launcher works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, and Opera browsers.

5. The Layers
The keyboard features four layers of key settings.
- Layer 0 & 1: For the Mac system.
- Layer 2 & 3: For the Windows system.
System Toggle Effect:
- If your system toggle is switched to Mac, Layer 0 will be activated.
- If your system toggle is switched to Windows, Layer 2 will be activated.
Important Note for Windows Users: When using the keyboard in Windows mode, please make changes to Layer 2, not Layer 0. This is a common mistake.

6. Factory Reset & Firmware Update
Factory Reset Your Keyboard
- Power on your keyboard.
- Press and hold Fn + J + Z simultaneously for 4 seconds.
- The keyboard backlight will flash red quickly for 3 seconds, indicating that the keyboard has been reset.
Flash Your Keyboard Firmware
- Visit launcher.keychron.com to open the online Launcher web app.
- Ensure the keyboard is in Cable or Wired mode and plug in the power cable.
- Find the 'Firmware Update' tab on the left side of the Launcher and connect your keyboard.
- Follow the on-screen instructions on the Launcher to complete the firmware update.
