HYDRONIC AIR HANDLERS ABW SERIES
ABW SERIES HYDRONIC HEAT AIR HANDLER
WALL MOUNT
Unit shown with service panels removed. Representative image only. Some models may vary in appearance.
Application Versatility
Features front or bottom return air. Offset hanging brackets attach to unit and wall, allowing hanging inside closets. Can be AHRI matched with most brands of air conditioners or heat pumps.
- A2L refrigerants require a Refrigerant Detection System (RDS) for compliance. In accordance with UL 60335, Refrigerant Detection Systems are factory-installed on A2L refrigerant-ready air handlers.
- ETL listed for R22 and R410A. ETL listed for R454B and R32 with Refrigerant Detection System (RDS).
Key Features
120V PSC HYDRONIC MOTOR
Air Handlers are equipped with a standard 120-volt, multi-speed, single-stage PSC motor.
BLOWER
Direct drive multi-speed blowers circulate air quietly and efficiently. Motor speeds are easily selected via motor terminals. Rail-mounted blowers can be easily removed for service.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL BOARD
Provides a 30-second ON/OFF blower time delay for extracting more heat/cool from the coil. An electronic board controls system functioning, reducing moving parts. It supports various hot water supply source connections and the blower time delay to maximize heat/cool extraction. As an enhanced feature, the pump circulates hot water every 6 hours to prevent water stagnation and coil freezing.
LOW LEAKAGE CABINET
Sturdy, fully insulated galvanized steel cabinet; stick pins ensure 1/2" insulation remains in place. Unit ships with a disposable filter. Less than 1.4% air leakage from the cabinet when tested in accordance with ASHRAE standard 193.
DX COIL
High-efficiency rifled copper tubes and enhanced aluminum fins provide maximum heat transfer. All coils are immersion tested at 500 psi, followed by nitrogen pressurization and factory sealing to ensure optimal system integrity and long-term reliability. Liquid-line Schrader allows pre-installation pressure assurance testing.
Available with either orifice or TXV metering device. Field-installable bolt-on TXVs are also available. The rugged GLP drain pan holds minimal condensate while eliminating the possibility of corrosion. The drain pan is UV safe. All drain connections are 3/4" NPT. An access door allows for coil cleaning.
MODULAR HYDRONIC HEAT KITS
Heat kits are available with either circuit breakers or terminal blocks. They are available in 2, 3, and 4 rows, providing 16,000 to 59,000 BTU's of heat. Heat kits are factory-installed. A freeze stat is standard, wired into the circulating pump control circuit. Controls are accessible from the front for easy service. Electrical connections can be made from the top or left. Suitable for potable applications. A fan time delay relay is standard for increased efficiency. Heat kits are available with or without a circulating pump and check valve. Units are provided with an auxiliary relay for a remote pump. Schrader ports are standard on the water-out manifold; a hose bib is available as an option. The coil is totally lead-free constructed and suitable for potable applications.
WARRANTY
Hassle-free five-year limited parts warranty.
