LUX POWER TEK WIFI Setting Quick Guide
? Note: The end user needs to apply to installation personnel to register a Monitor account, or can register themselves. Remember to obtain the customer code from the installation personnel or distributor. Installation personnel and distributors need higher-level distributor registration for Monitor access, and will receive a unique customer code. When registering accounts for customers, a customer name can be set.
APP Download
Download the 'LuxPowerView' APP from Google Play for Android or the Apple App Store for iOS.
1. Register an account
Register a Monitor account for the end user by visiting http://server.luxpowertek.com or by downloading the 'LuxPowerView' APP.
Distributors or installers should contact their upper-level distributor for an account or email info@luxpowertek.com.
Step 2: Filling in important information truthfully (with *)
Required fields include 'Dongle SN' and 'Dongle PIN'.
a. Customer code: This is the code of your distributor or installer. Please contact them to obtain it.
b. Dongle SN: Shown on the label of the WiFi/WLAN shell.
2. WiFi Configuration
To connect your home WiFi to the inverter, you can use either the APP or Bluetooth. Ensure the WiFi module is plugged in and the inverter is powered on. The Home WiFi password must be longer than 8 characters.
2.1 Use APP to configure WiFi
- Wait until any LED becomes solid. Connect your phone to the WiFi module's hotspot, typically named "dongle SN" (e.g., "B****").
- Open the LuxPowerView APP and click "DONGLE CONNECT".
- Choose the WiFi network you want to connect to (HomeWiFi) and input the password.
- Click "HomeWiFi Connect". The WiFi dongle will restart automatically. You will see three LEDs on the WiFi module become solid one by one, indicating a successful connection.
2.2 Method 2: Use Bluetooth to configure WiFi
- Turn on mobile Bluetooth.
- Open the LuxPowerView APP and click "DONGLE CONNECT".
- Click "Set with Bluetooth".
- Select the correct dongle serial number (SN) from the list provided. The list includes SN, MAC address, and RSSI values.
- Select the server (e.g., 'Asia') and input your Home WiFi account and password.
- Click "HomeWiFi connect". You will see a notification of "setting success", and the WiFi dongle will restart.
3. Local Connect (if no WiFi signal)
If there is no WiFi signal at the station, users can use the "LOCAL CONNECT" function to monitor and set up the system.
3.1 Use Lux Power for Local Monitor and Setting
- Turn on mobile Bluetooth and power on the inverter. Wait for the INV LED to become solid.
- Open the Lux Power Monitor APP, click "LOCAL CONNECT", then click "Bluetooth Connect", and select the correct SN.
- You can now monitor and set the system. The dashboard displays information such as 'Solar Yielding', 'Today Yielding', 'Battery Power', 'PV Power', 'Consumption', etc.
3.2 Update firmware through Bluetooth

- Download the firmware on the APP.
- Select and download the required firmware. After receiving a successful download notification, click on "Wi-Fi module update". The firmware is typically uploaded to the web and named "APP_PCS_***".
- Click "Bluetooth Connect".
- Click "SET" to enter the updating interface and click "Update Firmware".
- Fill in the captcha (verify code) shown on the web.
- Click "Firmware update". A success notification will appear after the update is finished.
Handling Multiple Inverters and Dongles
If you have more than one inverter and dongle in the system, follow these steps:
- Register your account with one of the dongles' SN and PIN.
- Log in to your account on the APP or Web.
- Add the SN and PIN for the extra dongles.
- Reconnect the dongle(s).
- Configure WiFi for each module one by one.

Understanding the LED indicators on the WiFi module helps in diagnosing status and troubleshooting.
