Linksys Velop Pro 6E & Velop Pro 7 Installation Guide
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing your Linksys Velop Pro mesh WiFi system.
Step 1
Download the Linksys App from the Apple App Store or the Android Play Store. The Linksys App will guide you through the installation process and make the entire setup experience as quick and easy as possible.
Step 2
Disconnect your old router, if separate from your modem.
Restart your modem by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
Connect your new Linksys Node.
Plug your Linksys Node into power.
Use the provided Ethernet cable to connect your modem to the Internet port on the Node.

Give your Node a minute to start up.
The status light will go from blinking to solid blue when it's ready for setup.
Step 3
Open the Linksys App and follow the setup instructions.
The Linksys App will guide you through setting up your Nodes in a few easy steps:
- Plugging in additional Nodes if applicable.
- Customizing your WiFi name and password.
- Securing your Node password.
- Creating a Linksys Account for remote management of your network.
- Optimizing the position of your Nodes.

Node lights
Light Status | Description |
---|---|
Blue (blinking) | Starting up. Wait for the Node to finish starting up. |
Blue | Ready for setup. Open the Linksys App to complete setup. |
White (blinking) | Setup in progress. Follow instructions in the App. |
White | Connected to the internet. Node is online, everything is good. |
Red | No Internet. Not online, check with your ISP for service interruptions. |
Red (blinking) | Out of range. Node isn't in range of another node. Move it closer. If this is your primary node, make sure it is firmly connected to your modem. |
