Assembling your Bassinette
Remove all contents from carton and check that all components listed are present.
Assembly is considerably easier with two people.
Each leg assembly comes pre assembled.
To join each leg: With the arrow on the (THIS WAY UP) sticker pointing UP, position the large hole of the brace over the locking screw on the remaining leg. Slide the screw head to the extreme Right then Up to lock the brace into position, as per Figure 1.
The brace has to be visibly locked while in use.
Figure 1 shows the process of joining leg assemblies. It depicts a brace with a 'THIS WAY UP' sticker, a locking screw, and a hinge bolt head. Arrows indicate sliding the screw head to the right and then up to lock. A close-up view confirms the brace must be visibly locked. A second image shows two assembled leg frames with the locking screw facing outwards.
Repeat for other leg assembly noting that the locking screw is always facing out, as per Figure 2.
Using the 4 A bolts, 4 barrel nuts and Allen key provided, loosely connect two rails to the lower position of the leg assembly, as per Figure 2.
Figure 2 illustrates the connection of lower rails to the leg assembly using A bolts and barrel nuts. A close-up view details how the barrel nut fits into a slot and aligns with the bolt.
Insert the two remaining (top) rails into the bassinette bag, as per Figure 3.
Figure 3 shows two top rails being inserted into the fabric bassinette bag.
As per Figure 4, attach one end of each of the two top rails by:
- Inserting a barrel nut in each hole as shown.
- Screwing 2 A bolts on each side of the legs as shown.
Figure 4 demonstrates attaching the top rails to the legs. It shows inserting barrel nuts into holes and then screwing A bolts to secure them. Close-up views highlight the alignment of the barrel nut slot with the bolt.
As per Figure 5, attach the two veil support members to the outside of the set of legs by:
- Inserting 2 barrel nuts in the top rails.
- Screwing 2 bolts C into the unattached ends of the top rails using an Allen key.
Once the bolts have been fitted, rotate the rails so that the slots go underneath and are not visible.
Attach the veil support rail using one bolt B.
Figure 5 illustrates attaching the veil support members to the legs and top rails using C bolts and barrel nuts. It also shows the attachment of the veil support rail with a B bolt. Close-up views detail the connection points.
Slide the rear of the veil support tube over the front of the veil support rail, as per Figure 6.
Figure 6 shows the veil support tube being slid onto the veil support rail.
Slide all of the veil support tube onto the veil support rail and secure the front of the tube to the Velcro® on the front of the rail, as per Figure 7.
Figure 7 shows the veil support tube fully attached to the rail and secured with Velcro.
Ensure that the opening in the top rear corner of the veil is positioned, as per Figure 8.
Figure 8 indicates the correct positioning of the opening in the veil.
Place the base board and mattress in the bassinette bag. The bassinette is now ready for use.
TO FOLD THE BASSINETTE
Lift the end of both metal braces until the screw is in the wider part of the keyhole then unhook, as per Figure 9 Step 1.
Push the two top rails together, as per Figure 9 Step 2.
Figure 9 illustrates the folding process. Step 1 shows unhooking the metal braces by lifting them to the wider part of the keyhole. Step 2 shows pushing the top rails together.
