Ensure the solar panel is positioned for optimal sunlight exposure. Be aware of objects like trees or building overhangs that may impede charging.
[Illustration showing solar panel placement with potential obstructions] -
Before first use, the solar panel needs 3 days of initial sunlight charge. This should be done with the string lights disconnected or the solar panel in the OFF position. After 3 days, the included batteries will be fully charged.
The solar panel should be mounted where the ON/OFF switch is easily accessible.
Installation
Mounting the Solar Panel
The solar panel can be mounted using two options:
Option 1: Mounting Bracket (Wall/Surface Mount)
- If needed, use the two wall plugs (H) and two large screws (G). Install screws through the outer holes of the mounting bracket (E) to secure it to the chosen surface.
- Attach the mounting base (D) to the back of the solar panel (B) using the small screw (F).
- Slide the solar panel down onto the mounting bracket (E) until it clicks securely into place.
- Adjust the solar panel to the desired angle for optimal sun exposure.
- The angle can be further adjusted by loosening, adjusting, and re-tightening the side screw on the panel's arm.
Option 2: Ground Stake Mount
- Assemble the two parts of the ground stake (C).
- The grooved section of the stake fits into the protruding arm of the solar panel's mounting base (D).
- Insert the assembled stake into the ground.
- Attach the solar panel (B) to the mounting base (D) using the small screw (F).
- Slide the solar panel onto the stake's arm until it clicks.
- Adjust the solar panel angle for optimal sun exposure.
To disconnect the solar panel from the mounting bracket, press the release tab on the bottom of the bracket and slide the panel upwards.
Installing the Solar String Lights
The solar string lights can be mounted in various ways:
-
Temporary Mounting: Use standard S hooks (not included) or screw hooks (not included) attached to the integrated mounting loops.
