• OBD-II Power Cable: Check your vehicle's warranty status before using the OBD-II Power Cable, as some manufacturers may prohibit its use. Nextbase is not responsible for costs associated with voided warranties or vehicle repairs. If engine performance changes, disconnect the device and contact Nextbase support.
• Battery Protection: The OBD-II Power Cable has a minimum voltage cut-off to protect your vehicle's battery. If the vehicle is parked for extended periods, consider unplugging the device to avoid draining the battery.
• Liquid Exposure: Do not expose the iQ to liquids, as this may cause electric shock or fire. If the device gets wet, disconnect it and allow it to dry naturally. Do not use external means to accelerate drying.
• Legal Compliance: Use the iQ in compliance with all applicable local laws, including privacy and data collection laws, and regulations regarding the placement of objects on a vehicle's windshield.

The iQ is a three-way cam video system providing front, cabin, and optional rear camera views for comprehensive coverage. The optional 1440p rear camera provides additional security against tailgaters and rear-end impacts.

Installation

Follow these steps for installation:

1. Front Camera Installation:
   • Open the iQ App and follow the on-screen instructions for setup.
   • Clean the windshield with an alcohol rub and a clean cloth, allowing it to dry for 5 minutes.
   • Insert the SD Card.
   • Plug in the QuickConnect OBD cable into the vehicle's footwell or as indicated in the vehicle's manual.
   • Connect the QuickConnect Cable to your iQ to power it up.
   • When prompted by the iQ app, scan the QR Code on the iQ to connect the Dash Cam and App.
   • Position and align the iQ using the Live View on the iQ App, ensuring it does not obstruct the driver's view.
   • Remove the adhesive cover from the mount and firmly press it onto the windshield, holding for 10 seconds for maximum adhesion.
   • Adjust the camera angle if necessary using the Live View.
   • Hide any unsecured cables within the roof trim.
   • Continue following the iQ App directions to set up your account.
2. Rear Camera Installation (if applicable):
   • Plug the Rear Camera into the top of your iQ.
   • Route the Rear Camera cable to the rear of the vehicle, ensuring enough slack for the boot to be opened.
   • Choose a position for the Rear Camera at the top of the rear window.
   • Clean the rear window with an alcohol rub and a clean cloth, allowing it to dry for 5 minutes.
   • Position and align the iQ using the Live View on the iQ App.
   • Remove the adhesive cover from the mount and firmly press it onto the windshield, holding for 10 seconds for maximum adhesion.
   • Adjust the camera angle if necessary using the Live View.

G-Sensor Notice

The G-Sensor measures forces exerted upon the device and activates recording protection. Ensure the iQ is mounted vertically for optimal performance. Protect files manually using the Protect button or the App if automatic protection does not trigger.

Care & Maintenance

• Use only qualified personnel for repairs.
• Clean with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a neutral detergent diluted with water. Never immerse the device in water.
• Avoid contact with lenses to prevent damage.
• Do not drop, shake, or twist the iQ. Avoid placing it on sloping surfaces.
• Do not attempt to rotate external antennas.
• Format the memory card every 2-3 weeks using the iQ App for optimal performance. Switch off the iQ Cam before removing the SD card.
• Use Nextbase branded SD cards for guaranteed functionality.

High Temperature Use

The iQ is designed to function up to 40°C (104°F). Above this temperature, some functions may be restricted to protect the device. Functions will be restored once the core temperature returns to operating parameters.
