2. Operation Guide

The iHome XT-57 earbuds feature several key components:

• Control Surface: The outer touch-sensitive area of each earbud for various functions.
• Indicator LED: A small light on each earbud that indicates status (e.g., pairing, charging).
• Charge Contacts: Metal points on the earbuds that connect with the charging case.
• Orientation Mark: A subtle marking (e.g., 'L' for Left, 'R' for Right) to distinguish earbuds.
• Cushion: The silicone ear tips that provide comfort and fit.

The charging case includes:

• Charge Display: A digital display showing the current battery power percentage of the case.
• Charge Indicator: An LED light on the case that indicates charging status.
• USB-C Charge Port: The port on the back of the case for connecting the USB-C charging cable.

3. Getting Started

Before initial use, fully charge the device. Refer to the 'Charging' section on page 6 for detailed instructions.

To begin, open the charging case and remove the earbuds. Both earbud LEDs will flash red and blue. One earbud will continue to flash red and blue, while the other will flash blue, indicating that the right and left earbuds have successfully synced to each other.

Pairing

1. Go to the Bluetooth® Settings on your mobile device.
2. Turn Bluetooth® ON on your device.
3. From the list of available Bluetooth® devices, select "iHome XT-57".
4. The earbud indicator LEDs will turn off once they are successfully connected.

4. Basic Functions

Right Earbud:

• Double tap the control surface: Play or pause audio.
• Tap and hold for one second: Skip to the next audio track.
• Single tap: Raise the volume.

Left Earbud:

• Double tap the control surface: Play or pause audio.
• Tap and hold for one second: Skip to the previous audio track.
• Single tap: Lower the volume.

Phone Calls:

When an incoming call is received, the unit will pause playback and ring to alert you. Phone call functions work on either earbud.

• To answer an incoming call: Single tap the control button of either earbud.
• To end a call: Double tap the control surface.
• To reject an incoming call: Tap and hold the control surface.

*Volume controls may not function during phone calls with some smartphone models.

5. Troubleshooting

Earbuds do not sync with each other:

1. Place the earbuds back into the case, then remove them, ensuring both are powered on.
2. On each earbud, press and hold the control surface for 5 seconds. The earbud will turn off after its LED flashes red 3 times.
3. Replace the earbuds in the charging case.
4. Repeat the 'Getting Started' process.

Earbuds do not pair to device:

1. Turn the earbuds OFF by pressing the control surface on each earbud until the LED blinks red and then turns off.
2. Replace the earbuds in the case. Turn your device's Bluetooth® OFF and then back ON. Then repeat the pairing process.

6. Charging

1. Replace the earbuds in the charging case.
2. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the back of the case.
3. Plug the cable into a standard USB 5V/1A or higher power output.

When the case is plugged into a charging mechanism, the light on the back of the case turns red, indicating the case battery is charging. The charge display will flash the current battery power percentage.

While the case is charging, the lights on the earbuds inside the case will glow solid red, indicating they are also charging.

All small lights will go out, and the charge display will show 100% when fully charged.

4. Once fully charged, unplug the charging cable from the power source.

To charge the earbuds from the case's internal battery, simply place them in the case.

*The case must have at least 20% battery life remaining to fully recharge the earbuds without external USB power.

7. Warnings

• Do not use this unit for anything other than its intended use.
• Do not puncture, throw, drop, bend, or modify this product.
• Do not throw this product into fire or water.
• Do not short-circuit the battery with any metal or metallic objects.
• Do not expose this product to corrosive liquids such as salt water.
• Do not operate the unit if it has been wet or moist to prevent electric shock and/or injury to yourself and damage to the unit.
• Do not allow children to play with this product as it is not a toy, and may present a choking hazard.
• Avoid leaving your device in direct sunlight, such as on a dashboard, console, or seat of a vehicle.
• Do not leave or use your device in any area where the temperature is likely to drop below 32°F (0°C) or exceed 140°F (60°C), such as inside a closed vehicle on a hot day.
• Repairs to electrical equipment should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Improper repairs may place the user at serious risk.
• Protect your hearing by always listening at a safe level. Prolonged use at elevated volumes may affect your hearing capacity and could result in hearing loss.
• Use the earbuds with this charging case only.
• To avoid damage to the charging case, only use a USB 5V/1A or higher charger.
• To ensure battery life, charge normally at least once a month.

9. Warranty

Bytech NY Inc. warrants this product to be materially free from defects and workmanship to the original purchaser for a period of 12 months from the original purchase date. Bytech's responsibility with regard to this limited warranty is limited solely to repair or replacement, at its option, of any product which fails during normal consumer use. This warranty does not extend to damage or failure resulting from misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. At any time during the 12-month period following the purchase, if the product fails due to defects in material or workmanship, return the defective product (with freight prepaid) with proof of purchase.
