- This appliance requires a standard 220-240volt, 50Hz electrical outlet with a three-prong ground.
CLEANING AND MAINTAINING YOUR ICE MAKER
Before using your ice maker, it is strongly recommended to clean it thoroughly.
- Take out the ice basket.
- Clean the interior with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth.
- Then use water to rinse the inside parts, and drain out the water from the draining port by unplugging the drain cap on the back.
- The outside of the ice maker should be cleaned regularly with a mild detergent solution and warm water.
- Dry the interior and exterior with a soft cloth.
- When the machine is not in use for a long time, open the water drain cap to drain water completely out from the water reservoir.
After using your ice maker for a long time, we also suggest you should clean your unit. Especially the water separator pipe and the water filters, you must clean them periodically.
1. If the water separator pipe is blocked and there is no water flowing down when you listen the compressor and the water pump inside are still working, please turn off the unit first and disassemble this pipe, and clean it. Clean each hole on the pipe wall displayed in the following picture. After cleaning, install back the water separator pipe and be sure the right terminal of the pipe connects to the silicone pipe well and as original.
Diagram Description: A line drawing shows the ice maker's interior. Callouts point to the "Water Separator Pipe" and "Evaporator". An exploded view shows the "Water Separator Pipe" with "Hole" indicated.
2. For both the water tank and the big water reservoir, clean them with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth. Then use water to rinse the inside, and drain out the water from the draining port by unplugging the drain cap on the back. This will help keep the unit and ice cubes hygienic, and also make the unit work normally.
3. When cleaning, if you find that the ice cube left on the evaporator cannot be taken out easily, you can turn on the unit to let it enter the ice making process, then press the "ON/OFF" button for more than 5 seconds to let the unit start the ice harvest process to melt the ice cube. This will help you remove the hard ice cube.
How to drain out the water from the internal tank and big water reservoir completely
Because the water in the big water reservoir is stopped from draining by the water valve, if you want to drain away all the water, please plug in the unit but don't start it, then remove the drain port cap at the back. Wait some minutes, all of the water will flow out.
USING YOUR ICE MAKER
Operation panel and display area
Diagram Description: A simplified diagram shows the layout of the operation panel. It is divided into an OPERATION AREA, DISPLAY AREA, and another OPERATION AREA. Buttons are labeled TIMER, ON/OFF, +, and -. The DISPLAY AREA shows segments for time (H, M), temperature (°F), and various symbols: a power symbol [power-symbol], ice making symbol [ice-making-symbol], ice harvest symbol [ice-harvest-symbol], error codes E1 and E2, a low water symbol [low-water-symbol], and an ice full symbol [ice-full-symbol].
- Remove the cover of the water reservoir and pour potable water into the water reservoir. Be sure to keep the water level below the max. level with the FULL mark displayed in the following picture. Then move the cover back at once to avoid foreign matter entering.
- Warning: Do not pour water into the internal water tank located underneath the ice basket. This tank is not big enough and will affect the ice making performance.
- When you plug in the unit, the power symbol [power-symbol] will flash. Press the <ON/OFF> button, the unit will start making ice cubes, and the ice making symbol [ice-making-symbol] will keep running. The top left corner of the display area will show the ambient temp, e.g., 80°F means the ambient temp is 80°F. After several minutes, this area will show a flashing number, the ice making will countdown, e.g., 10M means the ice making will finish 10 minutes later.
- When the ice maker harvests, the symbol [ice-harvest-symbol] flashes. Water flows from the top water reservoir to the bottom water tank through a solenoid valve. The symbol [water-valve-symbol] will be on. When the water in the bottom water tank is full, the symbol [water-valve-symbol] will be off, then the next ice making cycle starts again. When there is no water in the water reservoir, the symbol [low-water-symbol] will keep on. Turn off the unit and fill water again, then restart the unit to make ice cubes. Or fill water directly and wait 20 minutes; the unit will restart.
- Remark: The ice making cycle lasts about 13 to 25 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature. For the first time, according to the initial water temperature, ice-making time will be a little longer. In extreme hot room temperatures, ice-making time may vary a lot, but it will not exceed 35 minutes.
- If you think the ice cube is not thick enough, during ice making, press the <+> and <-> buttons to set the ice making lead time. Pressing one time will increase or reduce the ice making cycle by one minute, up to 6 minutes maximum. This can only start from a new cycle.
- When the Ice Full symbol [ice-full-symbol] is on, the unit will stop. Take out the ice cubes inside, and the unit will start working again.
- If you press the <ON/OFF> button for more than 5 seconds when the ice maker is working, the unit will start harvest. Press the <ON/OFF> button to turn the unit off.
- Timer setting: Unit on timer setting: When the unit is working, timer setting the unit off. Unit off timer setting: When the unit is off, timer the unit on. Press the <TIMER> button, the display will show <1H>, and then press <+> and <-> to set the time. During the setting, the H flashes; after 5 seconds, the H will stay on, and the unit will be in your Timer setting.
- Water Drain: Take off the drain plug cap on the back of the unit, take out the silicon plug, then drain the water inside. It is better to exchange water every 24 hours and clean the unit every 3 days.
