Quick Installation Guide
Product Overview
This guide provides instructions for setting up and using the Galayou R2 Smart Battery Powered Wireless Security Camera.
Product Diagram:
Top View: Features the Lens (Objectif), Indicator Light (Voyant Indicateur), White Light (Lumière Blanche), PIR Sensor (Capteur PIR), and Microphone (Microphone).
Bottom View: Includes the DC-5V Power Port (Alimentation Marche/Arrêt), Type-C Power Cable Port (Câble d'alimentation de type-C), Reset Button (Bouton de Réinitialisation), and TF Card Slot (Fente pour Carte TF).

Note: Ensure your router is connected to the internet.
Download APP and Register Account
- Download and Install APP: Download the "Wansview Cloud" APP from the App Store or Google Play on your smartphone, or scan the QR code provided.
- Register Account: Open the "Wansview Cloud" APP and register an account using your email address and activate it.
Tip: Your password should be 8 to 16 characters long, including at least three of the following categories: numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, or special characters.
You will receive a verification code via email. Enter this code in the APP to log in. If you do not receive the code, check your spam folder first. If it's still not there, contact support.fr@galayou-store.com for assistance.
Add Device
Before adding a device, ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network. 5Ghz Wi-Fi is not supported. Tap "Add Device" or "+".
Select Model
Select GALAYOU - Model R2 from the device list.
Camera Configuration
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until you hear a startup sound. The red indicator light will turn on, and the camera will enter hibernation mode.
Wi-Fi Configuration
- Place the camera about 1 meter from your router. Power on the camera and wait 1-2 minutes for the indicator light to flash red and blue alternately. Then, tap "Flashing".
- The APP will automatically detect the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network. Enter the Wi-Fi password and tap the eye icon ?️ to verify the password. Ensure there are no spaces in the password.
- If the APP does not automatically recognize the Wi-Fi network, enable GPS or Location Information in your smartphone's settings. Go back to the "Camera Configuration" page, tap "Flashing", and check if the APP recognizes the Wi-Fi network.
- Place the QR code 3-8 inches in front of the camera lens. You should hear a "Scan successful" beep. Tap "Next".
Note: Ensure your phone's screen brightness is at a moderate level to avoid reflections when displaying the QR code.
Waiting for Connection
The blue indicator light flashing rapidly indicates the camera is connecting to Wi-Fi. A slowly flashing blue light means the camera is connected to the server. A solid blue light indicates successful synchronization.
You can rename the camera and tap "OK" to view the live video.
Advanced Functions
- 24/7 Surveillance: With the integrated IR-Cut filter and infrared lights, enjoy clear video day and night.
- Two-Way Audio: Built-in microphone and speaker allow you to communicate with visitors or family at any time.
- Motion Detection: The integrated PIR motion detector captures movement, triggering a 10-second alert recording and real-time notifications. Adjust sensitivity for optimal accuracy.
- Intelligent Power Saving: The camera features intelligent power-saving for automatic hibernation. It wakes up when motion is detected by the PIR sensor.
- TF Card Storage: Insert a TF card (up to 128GB, not included) to record alert videos without a cloud subscription. With built-in batteries, it records up to 60 seconds of alert video. When connected to external power (e.g., power cable or solar panel), it records until the motion stops.
- Cloud Storage: Subscribe to cloud storage to automatically back up alert recordings to the cloud server without data loss or corruption.
FAQ
- Cannot Scan QR Code?
- Ensure the camera indicator flashes red and blue alternately. If not, press and hold the reset button until the red indicator light flashes rapidly.
- Adjust the distance between the camera lens and smartphone to 3-8 inches, set brightness to medium, or double-click the QR code to enlarge it.
- Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi?
- Ensure your Wi-Fi is 2.4Ghz (5Ghz is not supported).
- Enable GPS and Location Information in your smartphone settings.
- Tap the eye icon ?️ to verify the Wi-Fi password is correct (no spaces).
- Before configuring, ensure the camera indicator flashes red and blue alternately.
- Cannot Connect or Red Light is Solid?
- Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds until you hear "DIDI". Wait 2-3 seconds, then continue holding the reset button for another 3 seconds until the red and blue lights flash alternately.
- Power off the camera: press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
- Power on the camera: press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
- Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds for the red and blue lights to flash alternately, indicating it's ready for configuration. You can then reconnect.
- APP shows "Offline"?
- Ensure the router is working correctly. Restart the router and camera.
- If the issue persists, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds until you hear "DIDI". Wait 2-3 seconds, then continue holding the reset button for 3 seconds until the red and blue lights flash alternately. You can then reconnect the camera.
- The distance between the camera and router should be less than 5 meters for a stable Wi-Fi signal.
- APP does not recognize Micro SD Card?
- Ensure the micro SD card is functioning correctly by testing its read/write capabilities on a computer with a card reader. Then, insert it into the camera.
- Turn off the camera before inserting the micro SD card.
- The camera supports micro SD cards up to 128GB formatted as FAT32. Format the card to FAT32 on your computer using a card reader.
Cloud Storage Subscription
The "Wansview Cloud" application is free, but cloud storage is optional. You can use the camera normally without subscribing.
