Setup Guide
- Download and Install App:
Go to the App Store [App Store] or Google Play [Google Play] to search for and download the "Wansview Cloud" APP on your smartphone.
- Register Account:
Open the "Wansview Cloud" APP and register an account with your email. Activate your account. Your password must be 8-16 characters and contain at least three of the following: numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, or special characters.
- Add Device:
- Open the "Wansview Cloud" APP.
- Tap "Add device" [add device icon] or the "+" icon.
- Select device type: "Camera setup".
- Choose "Galayou" and then model "G7".
- Wi-Fi Setup:
Warm note: Please make sure your router is connected to the Internet.
- Important Note: This indoor security camera only works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.
- Place the camera near the router during setup.
- Scan QR Code: Place the QR code (displayed on the app screen) 3-8 inches in front of the camera lens. If you hear "QR code scanning is successful," please press "Next."
- If you did not hear the prompt: Make sure the indicator light is flashing or a prompt tone is heard, and confirm the power is on.
- Press "Next" in the app.
- Wait for Connection:
The pairing process takes about 1-2 minutes. The camera will show connection status. The app may display "Wait for connection" with a countdown.
- Name the Camera:
Once paired successfully, you can name your camera (e.g., "Front door", "Living room", "Office").
- Camera Online:
The camera is now online and ready for use. You can subscribe to cloud storage for more features.
Important Tips
- This indoor security camera only works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.
- Please put the camera near to the router during setting up the camera. After connection succeeds, you can place the camera in another place.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
The camera cannot connect to Wi-Fi?
Please press the reset button on the camera for 5 seconds until the blue light flashes quickly and the camera says "reset is successful." Please wait for about one minute, then the camera will flash blue light slowly and you can reconnect it.
How to share the camera to another account?
- The invited member needs to download the "Wansview Cloud" app and register a new account first.
- The main account should open the "Wansview Cloud" app, tap "Settings" -> "Invite family members" -> press -> choose Country, and then enter the invited member's account (email or phone number/3rd quick login account).
- The invited member needs to open the "Wansview Cloud" app and then click "Receive." If they don't receive the invitation, please close the app and open it again.
Where is the micro SD card slot?
The micro SD card slot is located on the side of the camera. Please format the SD card to FAT32 on your computer. After formatting the card successfully, please insert the SD card into the camera slot on the side of the camera. The supported capacity is 8GB-128GB.
