Installation Tips
Warning: Disconnect the negative (-) terminal of your car battery before installation. Verify all connections for correct polarity to prevent short circuits.
The best installation positions are the original factory locations for ease of installation and an original look. Ensure speakers are mounted flat and stable, as installation quality significantly impacts sound. Protect speakers from heat, sunlight, mechanical influences, moisture, and wetness using AUDIO SYSTEM accessories.
Attention: Route cables carefully to avoid pinching or running them over sharp edges, which can cause short circuits and damage.
Caution: Be careful when removing original car interior trim parts, as they can be damaged and may require replacement.
Important: Correct polarity between speakers is crucial for optimal sound. Experimenting with tweeter polarity can improve sound. Listening and measuring are recommended.
Tweeter Mounting
The tweeter features a vehicle-specific mounting for Volkswagen. Carefully cut or open the original plastic welding points of your OEM tweeter. The new tweeter can then be glued or welded into place.
Tweeter (Crossover FWK TW EVO)
This speaker system can be adapted to your vehicle's acoustics, music genre, and personal taste using the crossover. Adjust the crossover settings to optimize the frequency response based on speaker placement. For tweeters mounted in the A-pillar, mirror triangle, or door trim, tonal adjustments and volume levels may be necessary.
Attention: All free cable ends must be isolated. Failure to do so can lead to a short circuit.

Midrange Speaker (Crossover FWK MW)
Connect the FWK MW crossover to the car connector and the AS 165 EM EVO speaker. This is a non-configurable, fixed crossover.
Rain Protection MBR165
Attach the MBR165 rain protection between the AS 165 EVO speaker and the LSR GOLF IV EVO speaker adapter. The water cap must be positioned above the magnet. The rain protection may need to be trimmed with scissors or a cutter for a proper fit.
