    Removal

Open the app drawer, long-press the app you want to remove, drag it to the top-right corner of the screen, and drop it in the area marked 'Uninstall'.

Note: If this action is performed on the home screen, the area will be marked 'Remove'. This action only removes the icon from the home screen and does not uninstall the app.

  4. Battery

The Phone 2 Pro is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, designed to last a full day of medium to heavy use. When the battery level is low, activate 'Battery Saver' mode by tapping the Battery Saver tile in Quick Settings or by tapping the low battery notification that appears automatically when the device's battery level is below 20%.

    Optimal Battery Usage Environment

The ideal operating temperature for the phone is between 32°F and 95°F (0°C to 35°C). Continuous use or charging in extreme temperatures can accelerate battery degradation. Exposure to extreme temperatures activates the device's protection mechanisms to mitigate battery performance issues, and charging will be restricted to protect the battery if temperatures fall outside a predetermined range.

    Optimal Charging Practices

When a mobile phone charges quickly, the battery receives more energy in less time. Lithium batteries have a limited number of charge and discharge cycles. The fast charging process increases the speed of chemical reactions within the battery, which can cause accelerated damage to its internal structure and reduce the overall lifespan of the battery. To address this, mobile phones are typically equipped with a complex Battery Management System (BMS) to optimize the charging process. By controlling charging speed, monitoring battery temperature, and adjusting charging strategies, the BMS helps reduce the impact of fast charging on battery longevity. It is recommended to avoid keeping the phone in a high-power charging state for prolonged periods and to stop charging once the battery reaches approximately 80% to minimize internal chemical reactions.

  5. Storage

    • To check the available storage on the device, open the Settings app and tap 'Storage' for an overview of storage consumption by category.
    • To clear app storage or cache, open the Settings app, tap 'Apps', then 'All apps' to see all installed applications and their storage usage. Tap a selected app to access its 'More information' page, which displays buttons to clear storage or clear cache.
  6. Sound & Vibration

    • Press the physical volume up or down button on the side of the device to adjust the volume of the last used audio source and open the audio menu.
    • In the audio menu, tap the bell icon at the top to switch between 'Sound', 'Vibration', and 'Silent'.
    • In the audio menu, tap the three-dot icon at the bottom to open a slider with four controls for adjusting media volume, call volume, ringtone and notification volume, and alarm volume, respectively.
    • In Quick Settings, tap the volume tiles to switch between 'Sound', 'Vibration', and 'Silent'.
  7. Security

To change the unlock method, open the Settings app and navigate to 'Lock screen, security & privacy'. Open the 'Device unlock' page to set up a PIN, register additional fingerprints, or register facial data used for unlocking the device.

Note: Fingerprint/facial data unlock cannot be used without a PIN; otherwise, anyone could simply slide their finger to unlock the device.

Advanced Aspects

  1. Essential Key

The Essential Key is located below the power button on the right side of the Phone 2 Pro and works with the Essential Space app to provide convenient screen capture and voice note functions.

The Essential Key supports various operations, such as a long press and a double tap, each activating different functionalities within different interfaces:

    Functionality

    • Recording function: Long-press the Essential Key on the home screen or lock screen to start recording immediately. Audio will be automatically saved in Essential Space. The system will intelligently extract key information, generate summaries, and transcribe audio to text to help organize your thoughts.
    • Screenshot: Long-press the Essential Key in other interfaces to take a quick screenshot. You will receive haptic feedback upon a successful capture.
    • Voice note (after screenshot): After taking a screenshot, continue to long-press the Essential Key and start speaking to add voice notes directly to the captured content or ask questions about it.
    • View logs: Double-tap the Essential Key to quickly open Essential Space and access your recent recordings and screenshots.

    Essential Space Functions

    • Intelligent analysis (requires Nothing account login): After logging into your Nothing account, content recorded via the Essential Key will undergo intelligent analysis. This includes generating highlighted summaries and even recognizing and extracting location information directly from Google Maps links within the content. Please note: you must log in to your Nothing account to enable these advanced analysis capabilities.
    • Voice commands for better organization: Within voice notes, you can use voice commands like 'Remind me to buy formula for the baby tomorrow afternoon' or 'What mountain is this?'. This functionality helps you efficiently manage daily tasks and obtain information quickly.
  2. App Shortcuts

    • In the Launcher, you can access app-specific shortcuts by long-pressing an app icon to display the expanded shortcuts menu.
    • Tip: A shortcut can also be converted into an independent icon by dragging and dropping it onto the home screen.
  3. Max Icons & Big Folder

    • The Nothing Launcher offers the option to expand any icon on the home screen up to four times its normal size, providing users with full customization options. To use this feature, long-press an app icon and tap the expand icon to enlarge the selected app icon.
    • This same procedure can be applied to folders, allowing users to organize their home screen without an extra step of opening the folder first for the top three apps in the folder.
  4. Do Not Disturb

    • The Do Not Disturb mode offers a distraction-free experience by temporarily silencing notifications and incoming calls not included in the allow list, and hiding any unseen notifications in the status bar and notification tray. To enable or disable this feature, open Quick Settings and tap the 'Do Not Disturb' tile.
    • To make changes to the list of people/apps included in the allow list, simply long-press the 'Do Not Disturb' tile in Quick Settings and edit important people/apps. This way, the notification will still be displayed.
    • The Do Not Disturb mode also temporarily disables the Glyph Interface by default. To change this behavior, long-press the 'Do Not Disturb' tile in Quick Settings and tap the 'Silence Glyphs' toggle.
    • While gaming, you can quickly block incoming calls or notifications without enabling Do Not Disturb mode. Through the game mode shortcut panel on the left side of the game, you can choose to block calls or incoming notifications individually.
  5. Google Assistant

Google Assistant provides a virtual personal assistant experience through a natural language voice interface that allows you to perform various tasks. To activate it, long-press the power button or swipe up from the bottom-right corner of the screen. Get more information on what to say to Google Assistant in the Google Assistant app.

  6. Screenshot

    • To take a screenshot on the Phone 2 Pro, simultaneously press the volume down button and the power button. The image will be saved in the screenshot album of the Google Photos app. By default, this folder may not sync with the main photo album. To access the album, go to Google Photos and navigate to the bottom-right tab 'Library'.
    • To take a scrolling screenshot, first take a normal screenshot and wait for the 'Capture more' button to appear at the bottom of the screen. After tapping it, you can view a full-page view for any scrollable interface. Simply drag the borders to adjust the screenshot size.
    • You can also use the three-finger swipe gesture for screenshots. To enable the screenshot gesture, go to Settings > Special functions > Gestures > Screenshot gesture and enable this function.
    • Screenshots can also be quickly edited by tapping the thumbnail that appears after taking the screenshot. You can apply edits like cropping or annotating, then tap 'Save' in the top-left corner to save the edited screenshot.
  7. NFC

    • NFC (Near Field Communication) allows the Phone 2 Pro to connect to other NFC-compatible devices by bringing the two devices close together. The most common use is to use the Phone 2 Pro as a virtual credit/debit card via Google Pay.
    • It is recommended to keep NFC on for convenience, as battery consumption is very low when it is on standby. To disable this function, open Quick Settings and tap the 'NFC' tile.
