Before Getting Started
This section provides an overview of the watch and introduces convenient ways it can be used.
Note: Illustrations in this guide are created for explanation and may differ slightly from the actual item.
Watch Face Items
The watch face includes various indicators:
- Day of week: In Calendar Mode, the mode hand points to the day of the week.
- Summer time setting: The mode hand indicates the current summer time setting.
- [ST]: In Stopwatch Mode, the mode hand points to [ST].
- [TR]: In Timer Mode, the mode hand points to [TR].
- [AL]: In Alarm Mode, the mode hand points to [AL].
- [C]: When phone connection starts, the second hand points to [C].
- [RC]: The second hand points to [RC] during time calibration signal reception.
- Alarm on/off setting: In Alarm Mode, the second hand shows if the alarm is enabled ([ON]) or disabled ([OFF]).
- Last receive result, phone connection status, Airplane Mode setting: The second hand indicates the last receive result, phone connection status, or Airplane Mode status.
Navigating Between Modes
Press button (C) to cycle through modes. Hold down (C) for at least one second to enter Calendar Mode.
Connecting with a Phone
To connect, hold down button (B) for at least 0.5 seconds until the second hand points to [C].
Mode Overview: Calendar Mode
The main hands show the current time. Small hands indicate Dual Time.
Time Adjustment Using a Time Calibration Signal
Hold down button (B) for at least 0.5 seconds until the second hand points to [RC]. Manual signal reception cannot be performed when paired with a phone.
Swapping Current Location Time and Dual Time
Hold down button (A) for at least three seconds.
Connecting with a Paired Phone to Adjust Watch Time
Hold down button (B) for at least 0.5 seconds until the second hand points to [C].
Searching for a Paired Phone
Hold down button (B) for at least five seconds.
Stopwatch Mode
The second hand and small hands indicate elapsed time. Main hands show current time.
- Start/Stop: Button (A)
- Reset: Button (B)
- Stopwatch seconds, hours, minutes: Indicated by hands.
- Stopwatch hours (24-hour): Hand points to A-side for 0-12h, P-side for 12-24h.
Timer Mode
Second hand and small hands show countdown time. Main hands show current time.
- Start/Stop: Button (A)
- Reset: Button (B)
- Timer seconds, hours, minutes: Indicated by hands.
- Timer hours (24-hour): Hand points to A-side for 0-12h, P-side for 12-24h.
Alarm Mode
Small hands indicate alarm time. Second hand indicates alarm status. Main hands show current time.
- Alarm minute, hour, enabled/disabled: Indicated by hands.
- Alarm hour (24-hour): Hand points to A-side for a.m., P-side for p.m.
Using the Crown
The watch crown is screw-in. Rotate it towards you (left) to loosen before use.
Fast Forward/Fast Reverse: Pull crown to first or second click, then rotate quickly. Rotating again increases speed.
Stopping Fast Forward/Fast Reverse: Rotate crown opposite to the operation direction or press any button.
Note: Crown operations disable after two minutes of inactivity. Push and pull again to re-enable.
Important: Screw the crown back in to maintain water resistance and prevent damage.
Hand and Day Indicator Movement
Changing the day setting also moves the mode hand. Day indicator change takes 10-40 seconds after midnight. Day indication may be incorrect when the crown is pulled out.
Solar Charging
The watch uses a solar panel to charge a rechargeable battery. Ensure the watch face is exposed to light.
Charging the Watch: Place in bright light when not worn. Ensure face is not blocked by clothing when worn.
Important: Watch may become hot during charging. Avoid high-temperature conditions.
Low Battery Power: Second hand jumps at two-second intervals.
Dead Battery: All hands and day indicator stop. Charging starts when exposed to light.
Charging Time Guidelines: Tables provide approximate charging times based on light intensity and required operation time.
Power Saving
The watch enters power saving modes when inactive or in darkness:
- Level 1: Connection with phone terminated. Watch functions operational.
- Level 2: Basic timekeeping operational.
- Level 3: Only day indicator operational.
Note: Power saving can also be triggered if the watch face is blocked from light by clothing.
Recovering from Power Saving: Press any button or operate the crown. Place in bright light to return from Level 2/3 to Level 1.
Viewing the Face in the Dark
Press button (A) to activate the LED light for about three seconds. Illumination gradually brightens and dims. Light is disabled in Stopwatch/Timer modes, during alarms, or when hands move at high speed.
Useful Features
Pairing with a phone enhances watch functionality.
- Auto Time Adjustment: Connects with phone to adjust time.
- World Time Cities: Configure settings for over 300 cities.
Getting Ready: Requires CASIO "MR-G Connected" app and phone Bluetooth enabled.
Time Adjustment: Watch obtains date/time via phone connection or time signals.
Important: Enable Airplane Mode in hospitals or aircraft.
Time Adjustment Using a Time Signal
Watch time/day settings adjust based on received time calibration signals.
Important: Specify correct time zone for accurate adjustment. Auto receive attempts if phone connection failed the previous day. Enable Airplane Mode in restricted areas.
Appropriate Signal Reception Location: Place watch near a window, 12 o'clock side facing window. Keep metal objects away. Do not move watch or perform operations during reception.
Note: Signal reception may be difficult near buildings, vehicles, appliances, construction sites, or high-voltage lines.
Time Calibration Signal Reception Ranges
Maps show supported reception areas for Japan (JJY), China (BPC), USA (WWVB), and UK/Germany (MSF/DCF77).
Auto Time Calibration Signal Receive
Automatic adjustment occurs between midnight and 5:00 AM. Auto receive is disabled if the watch is paired with a phone for auto time adjustment, but will occur if phone connection has been inactive for over a day.
Note: Reception takes 2-20 minutes. Better reception at night.
Manual Time Signal Receive
Important: Manual reception requires unpairing from the phone.
Steps: Place near window, enter Calendar Mode, hold (B) for 0.5s until [RC] appears. Watch adjusts time/day.

Signal Reception Precautions
Average accuracy is ±15 seconds/month without signal reception. Reception is not possible under low battery, non-Calendar modes, Level 3 power saving, pulled crown, timer countdown, unsupported Home City time zones, out of range, or Airplane Mode.
Summer time may not apply correctly if rules change. Phone connection settings may affect reception even within range.
Using Watch Operations to Adjust the Time Setting
If phone connection fails, adjust time/date manually.
Selecting Your Home City's Time Zone
Steps: Loosen crown to second click. Second hand shows time zone, mode hand shows summer time setting. Rotate crown to change zone. Push crown back in.
Adjusting the Time and Day Setting
Steps: Loosen crown to second click. Hold (C) for 1s (minute setting). Rotate crown for minutes. Press (C) (hour setting). Rotate crown for hours. Press (C) (year ten's digit). Rotate crown. Press (C) (year one's digit). Rotate crown. Press (C) (month setting). Rotate crown for month. Press (C) (day setting). Rotate crown for day. Push crown back in.
Configuring the Summer Time Setting (Home City)
Steps: Loosen crown to second click. Hold (A) for 1s to cycle through [STD], [DST], [AT] (Auto).
Important: [AT] automatically switches between standard and summer time based on signal reception.
Checking the Last Time Adjustment Result
Steps: Enter Calendar Mode, press (B). Second hand shows result: [Y(YES)] (successful) or [N(NO)] (failed). Manual adjustments result in [N(NO)].
Using the Watch in a Medical Facility or Aircraft
Enable Airplane Mode to disable signal reception and phone connection. Steps: Enter Calendar Mode, press (B), loosen crown to first click within 10s, rotate crown to set Airplane Mode ([Y(YES)] = disabled, [N(NO)] = enabled). Push crown back in.
Using Mobile Link with a Mobile Phone
Bluetooth connection allows automatic time adjustment and other setting changes via the "MR-G Connected" app.
Getting Ready
Steps: Install "MR-G Connected" app, enable phone Bluetooth, pair watch with phone (move phone close, tap app icon, follow prompts).
Note: Allow location information acquisition for the app.
Auto Time Adjustment
Watch adjusts time automatically when in Calendar Mode. It may not adjust if too far from phone, due to radio interference, phone system updates, app not running, or watch in power saving mode.
Note: Auto adjustment occurs every 24 hours or after significant changes (phone settings, city swaps). Watch operation is possible during connection.
Triggering Immediate Time Adjustment
Steps: Move phone close, enter Calendar Mode, hold (B) for 0.5s until [C] appears.
Configuring World Time Settings
Specify World Time City via "MR-G Connected" app. Standard/summer time adjusts automatically.
Selecting a World Time City
Steps: Tap "MR-G Connected" icon, perform phone operation. Check small 24-hour hand for AM/PM.
Configuring the Summer Time Setting (Dual Time)
Set [STD] (standard), [DST] (summer), or [AT] (auto) via phone app.
Swapping Your World Time and Home Time
Steps: Tap "MR-G Connected" icon, perform phone operation to swap Home and World Time.
Setting the Alarm
Steps: Enter Calendar Mode, press (B) to confirm connection status. Tap "MR-G Connected" icon, configure alarm time via phone app.
Configuring Timer Settings
Steps: Enter Calendar Mode, press (B) to confirm connection status. Tap "MR-G Connected" icon, configure timer start time via phone app.
Adjusting Hand and Day Indicator Alignment
Use "MR-G Connected" app to adjust alignment if hands/indicator are off due to magnetism or impact.
Steps: Enter Calendar Mode, press (B) to confirm connection status. Tap "MR-G Connected" icon, perform alignment via phone.
Phone Finder
Triggers a tone on the phone to locate it, even in vibrate mode. Requires "MR-G Connected" app running.
Steps: Hold (C) for 1s (Calendar Mode), hold (B) for 5s until [C] appears. Phone rings. Press any button to stop.
Important: Do not use where phone calls are restricted. Tone is loud.
Configuring Watch Settings
Use "MR-G Connected" app to configure watch settings and view data.
Steps: Enter Calendar Mode, press (B) to confirm connection status. Tap "MR-G Connected" icon, select and perform setting changes on phone.
Connection
Your watch connects to a paired phone.
Checking the Connection with Your Phone
Steps: Enter Calendar Mode, press (B). Second hand indicates status: [Y(YES)] = connected, [N(NO)] = not connected.
Connecting with a Phone
Steps: Move phone close, hold (B) for 0.5s until [C] appears. Connection is maintained.
Important: If connection fails, ensure "MR-G Connected" app is running on phone.
Unpairing
Requires both app and watch operations. For iPhone, also delete pairing info from phone settings.
Deleting Pairing Information: Via "MR-G Connected" app or watch operations (Calendar Mode, loosen crown to second click, hold (B) for 10s).
Dual Time
Allows checking time in various time zones.
Selecting a Time Zone (for Dual Time)
Steps: Enter Calendar Mode, loosen crown to first click. Second hand shows Dual Time zone, mode hand shows summer time setting. Rotate crown to change zone. Push crown back in.
Configuring the Summer Time Setting (Dual Time)
Set [STD], [DST], or [AT] (Auto) via phone app.
Swapping the Home City Time and Dual Time
In Calendar Mode, hold (A) for three seconds to swap Home City and Dual Time. Mode hand may rotate if day indicator changes.
Stopwatch
Measures elapsed time up to 23:59'59".
Measuring Elapsed Time
Steps: Enter Stopwatch Mode, use (A) to start/resume, (B) to stop/reset.
Timer
Counts down from a set time. Beeper sounds at end of countdown (muted if battery is low).
Setting a Start Time
Steps: Enter Timer Mode, loosen crown to first click, rotate crown to set time (1-minute units up to 24 hours). Push crown back in. For 24-hour setting, align small hands to 12 o'clock.
Using the Timer
Steps: Enter Timer Mode, press (A) to start countdown. Press (A) to pause, (B) to reset paused timer. Press any button to stop tone.
Configuring Alarm Settings
Steps: Enter Alarm Mode, loosen crown to first click to turn alarm on. Rotate crown to set alarm time. Push crown back in.
Turning Off an Alarm: Enter Alarm Mode, press (B) to toggle second hand between ON/OFF. Push crown back in.
Adjusting Hand and Day Indicator Alignment
Use "MR-G Connected" app or manual adjustment if hands/indicator are misaligned.
Manual Alignment Steps: Loosen crown to second click. Hold (B) for 5s until second hand points to 12 o'clock. Auto alignment starts. Confirm small hands are at 12 o'clock. If not, rotate crown. Confirm mode hand is at 12 o'clock and day indicator is centered. If day is incorrect, rotate crown until day shows '1'. Push crown back in.
Note: Do not leave crown pulled out for over 30 minutes during alignment.
Resetting Watch Settings
Returns settings to factory defaults.
Steps: Enter Calendar Mode, loosen crown to second click, hold (C) for 5s until second hand points to 12 o'clock twice. Push crown back in.
International Travel
When you reach your destination, connect to your phone. After disabling Airplane Mode, the watch adjusts to the local time. Trigger immediate adjustment if needed.

City (Time Zone) List
Provides a list of cities, their time offsets, receivable transmitters, and second hand positions for time calibration signal reception.

Mobile Link Precautions

Troubleshooting
Signal Reception (Time Calibration Signal)
- Cannot perform receive operation: Check battery charge, ensure Calendar Mode, correct time zone, check phone pairing status, and ensure no Level 3 power saving, pulled crown, or timer countdown.
- Receive operation fails: Check location, avoid touching watch during reception, disable alarms, verify transmitter signal.
- Time/day wrong after successful reception: Check time zone setting, align hands/indicators, or adjust manually.
I can't pair the watch with a phone.
- Ensure supported phone model and OS.
- Install "MR-G Connected" app.
- Configure phone Bluetooth settings correctly.
- Some phones may require BT Smart disabled.
I can't reconnect the watch and phone.
- Ensure "MR-G Connected" app is running on phone.
- Phone must not be in Airplane Mode.
- Try restarting phone and watch.
- Check Bluetooth settings.
- Ensure no timer countdown is active (last 30s).
- Re-pair watch if necessary.
Auto Time Adjustment Issues
- When does it adjust? After phone setting changes, or every 24 hours since last adjustment/swap.
- Auto setting incorrect: Check Bluetooth connection, ensure 24 hours passed since last adjustment, check Airplane Mode, exit power saving.
- Not syncing time: Check Airplane Mode, ensure phone network connection.
- Time signal reception not performed when connected to phone: This is normal; time signal reception is for when not connected.
Alarm Issues
- Alarm does not sound: Check battery, ensure crown is pushed in, and alarm is enabled.
Hand Movement and Indications Issues
- Don't know mode: Check mode hand position.
- Second hand jumps at 2-sec intervals: Low battery.
- All hands stopped, buttons not working: Battery dead or watch in charge recovery mode.
- Hands moving at high speed: Watch recovering from power saving, receiving signal, or adjusting time via phone.
- Time off by hours/minutes: Incorrect city/time zone setting.
- Hands/day indicator misaligned: Adjust alignment manually or via app.
Crown Operations
- Nothing happens when rotating crown: Crown operations disable after inactivity; push and pull again.
