Thank you for purchasing the EVERCROSS EV2 Hoverboard. This manual provides essential operating instructions and precautions for safe use. Please read it carefully and retain it for future reference.
- To avoid dangers from collisions, falls, and loss of control, learn to ride the EV2 safely.
- Operating skills can be learned by reading this manual and watching instructional videos.
- All users are responsible for consequences arising from violating warning contents or prompt operations.
Important Precautions:
- Use only the supplied charger with this hoverboard.

Operating Principles
The EV2 hoverboard utilizes digital electronic gyroscopes and acceleration sensors to maintain balance and control motion based on the rider's center of gravity. A control system drives the motors located within the wheels. The device features a built-in inertia dynamic stabilization system that assists with forward and backward balance, but not during turns.
TIP: To increase stability during turns, shift your weight to counteract centrifugal force, especially at higher speeds.
WARNING: Any EV2 Hoverboard that does not work properly can cause loss of control and falls. Inspect the entire device thoroughly before every ride and do not ride until any problems are corrected.

Calibrating Your Hoverboard
Many hoverboard issues stem from misconfigurations of the gyro board, affecting balance. Recalibration can resolve common problems.
Common Issues Resolved by Calibration:
- Hoverboard shaking when mounted or going uphill (especially for lighter riders).
- Beeping on startup but not allowing takeoff.
- Spinning unintentionally when in perfect balance.
- Drifting to the left or right when riding straight.
Recalibrating is recommended before considering hardware repairs.
Calibration Procedure (Approx. 10 seconds):
- Ensure the hoverboard is on a flat surface with both upper LED indicators level.
- Press and hold the power button.
- The hoverboard's front LED lights will flash rapidly 5 times, then start blinking with a longer interval.
- Release the power button and restart your hoverboard.
Your hoverboard is now calibrated and leveled, understanding its orientation and incline.
Safety Precautions
Use common sense for safe riding. A scooter is vulnerable and lacks car-like safety features. This section guides safe riding practices.
Check local laws regarding riding on public roads. EVERCROSS is not liable for rider violations.
- Always wear a helmet meeting safety standards.
- Obey all local traffic laws (lights, signs, crosswalks).
- Ride defensively and expect the unexpected.
- Give pedestrians the right-of-way and alert them before passing.
- Slow down at intersections and check for traffic before crossing.
WARNING: In low-visibility conditions (fog, dusk, night), you may be difficult to see, increasing collision risk. Keep your headlight on and wear bright, reflective clothing.
Safety Alerts Explained
The device will alert you to system errors or improper operation.
The Running Indicator Light will turn RED, and a beep sound will alert you to cease operation, potentially causing the hoverboard to stop suddenly.
Common Triggers for Safety Alerts:
- Unsafe riding surfaces (uneven, too steep).
- Platform tilted more than 10 degrees forward or backward when mounted.
- Battery voltage too low.
- Device is still charging.
- Platform tilts due to excess speed during operation.
- Overheating or high motor temperature.
- Device rocking back and forth for over 30 seconds.
- System enters protection mode (alarm indicator lights up, board vibrates), often when battery is low.
- Platform tilted more than 15 degrees forward/backward: device powers off suddenly, risking falls.
- Blocked tires: device stops after 2 seconds.
- Battery depleted below protection mode: engine powers off after 15 seconds.
- Sustaining high discharge current (e.g., steep slopes): engine powers off after 15 seconds.
WARNING: When the EV2 turns off during a Safety Alert, all operation systems halt. Do not continue riding. Turn the hoverboard off and back on to unlock it from a safety lock.
Riding Safety Checklist
- Do not ride above your skill level. Practice all functions first.
