Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Faceplate Preparation
Use a metal spudger to carefully remove the white plastic screw covers located on the lower case near the front of the Wii.
Step 2: Remove Faceplate Screws
Remove the two 8.3 mm Tri-Point screws that are hidden beneath the screw covers previously removed.
Step 3: Remove Controller Port Door Screw
Underneath the controller port door, nearest the faceplate, remove the single 5.9 mm Phillips screw.
Step 4: Remove DVD Drive Foot
Use a metal spudger to detach the rubber foot located on the side of the Wii, near the DVD drive opening.
Step 5: Remove Hidden Screw
Remove the single 5.9 mm Phillips screw that is concealed beneath the foot you just removed.
Step 6: Disconnect Faceplate and Remove
Carefully pull the faceplate away from the front of the Wii. Use tweezers to disconnect the plastic connector of the LED cable from the motherboard. Finally, remove the faceplate.
Step 7: Prepare Outer Case Access
Open the controller port cover until it is perpendicular to the black controller port bezel. Pull the controller port cover straight upwards to detach it from the outer case. Repeat this process for the memory card port cover.
Step 8: Remove Controller Bezel Screws
Remove the two remaining 4.1 mm Phillips screws situated along the top edge of the black plastic controller port bezel. Then, lift the bezel from the edge furthest from the controller ports and remove it from the Wii.
Step 9: Remove Top Screws
Remove the two 5 mm Phillips screws located above the controller ports.
Step 10: Remove Side Screw Covers
Use a metal spudger to remove the three highlighted screw covers stuck to the side of the Wii.
Step 11: Remove Rear Screws
Remove the following screws: Two 5 mm Phillips screws and one 8.2 mm Tri-Point screw.

Use a metal spudger to remove the two rubber feet stuck to the bottom face of the Wii, near the rear ports.
Step 13: Remove Bottom Screws
Remove the two 8.2 mm Tri-Point screws hidden beneath the feet you just removed. A 4 mm hex driver may be useful to extend your bit into the recesses to reach the screws.
Step 14: Lift Outer Case
Lift the outer case straight up off the body of the Wii.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
