Winncare Ekamove Quick Start Guide

This guide provides essential steps for setting up and programming the Winncare Ekamove patient turning system. Please refer to the full user instructions for comprehensive details.

Set Up

⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: DO NOT USE THE EKAMOVE SYSTEM WITHOUT SIDE RAILS FITTED TO THE BED, IRRESPECTIVE OF THE DEGREE OF TILT REQUIRED. WE RECOMMEND THAT SIDE RAILS ARE ALSO FITTED WITH BUMPER PADS.

  1. Strap the Ekamove to the bed frame with sensors level with the patient's shoulders. On profiling beds, fit straps only to the moving parts of the frame.
  2. Fit the control unit to the foot of the bed and clamp it securely in place.
  3. Run the sensor lead and air hoses to the control unit, ensuring they avoid any pinching or trapping points. Connect them to the underside of the unit.
  4. Switch the control unit 'On'.
