Getting Started
1. Mount the mirror onto the vehicle
Universal Mount Solution: Mount the TOMBO 360X onto your existing rearview mirror using the provided Velcro straps. Apply the adhesive in the indicated position for stability.
Mirror Replacement Method: If replacing your existing mirror, carefully remove it and unplug any connectors. Note that mounting solutions vary by vehicle; consult a local dealer or professional if unsure.
Note: Insert the Backpack Adaptor for Mirror Stem onto the TOMBO 360X Main Unit before mounting.
Note: If your vehicle uses a universal D-Tab mount, do not remove the D-Tab. Instead, use the provided VSM-AV mount.
Mounting Stem Details:
- Use VSM-AV Mount Stem.
- Screws size: PM2.5*8mm
- Screws size: PM3*10mm
Note: If the included VSM-AV mount does not fit your factory windshield tab, you may need to use the VSM-UNI2 (sold separately).
Screws size reference: (a: PM2.5*8mm, b: PM3*10mm).
2. Wiring Diagram
Connect the components according to the diagram. The wiring differs slightly for cars and trucks.
For Cars:
- Inside View: Shows connections for Proximity Sensor, USB Type-C, Camera, GPS.
- Connections include: ACC, +12V Trigger, GND, Reverse Trigger.
For Trucks:
- Similar connections for ACC, +12V, Reverse Trigger, GND, and Camera.
3. Backup camera installation position option diagram
Choose a mounting location for the backup camera:
- Rear windshield mounting location (Interior Top Mounted): Mount inside the vehicle, near the top of the rear windshield.
- Above license plate mounting location (Exterior Mounted): Mount outside the vehicle, above the rear license plate.
4. Backup Function (To SSD or USB drive)
To store transferred files on an external storage device (SSD or USB drive), you must first format the device using your PC to the "exFAT" file system format.

The main interface provides quick access to core functions. Elements typically include:
- Record: Start/stop video recording.

6. Settings
Access the Settings menu by stopping recording. Available settings include:
- Screen Brightness: Adjust display brightness (Low, Mid, High, Auto).
- G-sensor: Adjust sensitivity for impact detection (Low, Mid, High, Off).
- Indicator/Park Lines LED: Control parking assist lines (On, Off).
- Sound Volume: Adjust audio volume (Low, Mid, High, OLED off).
- Frequency: Set power line frequency (50Hz, 60Hz).
- Audio Recording: Enable/disable audio recording (On, Off).
- Rear Cam Image: Mirror or flip the rear camera view (Standard, Mirror).
- Screen Saver: Set screen timeout (1min, 2min, Off).
- Time Setting: Manual or automatic time adjustment, DST options (On, Off).
- System Setting: Options like Factory Reset, Software Version display.
7. Modes
Switch between different viewing modes to see various camera perspectives:
- 360° Mode: Provides a full surround view.
- Wide Mode: Offers a super wide viewing angle, primarily from the front camera.
- Split Mode: Displays multiple camera views simultaneously.
- Tri-split Mode: Shows three camera views at once.
Note: In Wide Mode, ensure the front camera faces forward for optimal viewing. Angle adjustment is not available in this mode.
Note: The dash camera will remember your last selected view setting.
