Wired Connection
Ensure the switch is in the OFF position. Connect the USB Type-C cable to the keyboard and your computer. Pull down the switch located in the upper left corner. The screen will display "USB Success".
Switching Modes (2.4G Wireless / Wired)
Quickly switch between 2.4G wireless and wired modes using the switch located in the upper left corner of the keyboard.
- Flip up: 2.4G Mode
- Flip down: Wired Mode
After successful switching, the screen will display the corresponding connection mode.
Indicator Functions
The keyboard features indicator lights for the following functions:
- Num Lock: Indicates the status of the Num Lock key.
- Caps Lock: Indicates the status of the Caps Lock key.
- Win Lock: Indicates the status of the Windows key lock.
Knob Function
The rotary knob offers versatile control:
- Volume Control: Turn the knob clockwise [clockwise arrow] to increase volume, and counter-clockwise [counter-clockwise arrow] to decrease volume.
- Menu Navigation: Briefly press the knob to enter the settings menu. Briefly press again to confirm a selected function.
Volume Calibration: The volume adjustment is set by default after power-on. If the volume display shows abnormal behavior, it will automatically calibrate when the driver is opened. Download the driver from: www.rkgaming.com.
Power Support: Supports charging with a 5V 3A power supply.
Manual Time Setting
Perform the following operations on the main time interface to set the date and time manually:
- Press and hold the knob for approximately 5 seconds until the year starts blinking, entering manual adjustment mode. Turn the knob to adjust the number: increase clockwise [clockwise arrow], decrease counter-clockwise [counter-clockwise arrow].
- Briefly press the knob to cycle through and adjust the date (YY/MM/DD) and time (HH/MM/SS) respectively. Use the knob to adjust the numbers as described in step 1.
- Once settings are complete, press and hold the knob for another 5 seconds to save and exit, or press Fn + T for a quick save and exit.
Bluetooth Connection (Knob Method)
Set the switch to the 'ON' state. Press the knob to enter the menu.
Knob BT Connection Method:
- Set the switch to the 'ON' state. Press the knob to enter the menu. Select the [BT icon] using the knob. Choose any Bluetooth group (e.g., BT1). (Reminder: pair 3 groups of Bluetooth devices in advance before switching.)
- Pairing Setup: Select 'BT1' with the knob. Long press the knob; the display will show '[BT1 Pairing]', indicating that the pairing status has been entered.
- Reconnection Setup: Select 'BT1' with the knob. Briefly press the knob; the display will show 'BT1 Linking', [●] indicates that the reconnection status has been entered.
- Open your computer or mobile phone's Bluetooth settings, search for and connect to the device. The display name is: RK-S98RGB.
- Once the connection is complete, the screen will display 'BT1 Success', and you will return to the main interface.
- Repeat the above steps to store up to 3 groups of Bluetooth devices.
Bluetooth Connection (Key Combination Method)
Set the switch to the 'ON' state.
- Pairing: Long press Fn + Q/W/E to enter pairing mode. The display will show '[BT1 Pairing]', indicating that the device is in pairing mode.
- Reconnection: Short press Fn + Q/W/E to switch Bluetooth channels. The display will show '[BT1 Linking]', indicating that the device is in reconnection mode.
Connection Steps:
- Open your computer or mobile phone's Bluetooth settings, search for and connect to the device. Search for this keyboard using the display name: RK Royal Kludge RK-S98 RGB.
- Once the connection is complete, the screen will display 'BT1 Success'. The connection is complete, and you will return to the main interface.
