Important Safety Information and General Instructions
National guidelines concerning official approval of auxiliaries must be observed.
Any alteration or conversion of the tow bar is prohibited and will result in the cancellation of the type approval.
Remove insulating compound or underbody coating from the area around the contact surfaces of the trailer hitch.
The trailer hitch is intended for towing trailers and for attaching load carriers. Any other use is prohibited.
Vehicles equipped with parking assistance systems may experience malfunctions after tow bar installation if components (tow ball, coupling ball) are within the sensor range. Adjust the sensing range or disable the parking assistance system if necessary. For removable or pivoting tow balls, malfunctions are unlikely when the ball is not in the operating position.
The tow bar is a safety-critical part and must be fitted only by qualified companies. Improper assembly may result in a serious accident hazard. The Swedish text of this instruction is binding.
Ensure required clearance is guaranteed as specified in Appendix VII, Diagram 30 of Guideline 94/20/EC.
Observe national guidelines regarding installation approvals.
Ensure correct torque values are applied during installation. For M12 bolts, the specified torque is 83 Nm.
Variations may occur in car models without prior notification. Carefully check that the template provided is correct for your specific car model and tow bar.

Installation Procedure
Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle
Remove rear bumper trim panels (2x) to gain access. ➡️
Step 2: Access Mounting Points
Access the vehicle's chassis mounting points. ➡️
Step 3: Install Brackets
Attach mounting brackets (Components A and B) to the vehicle chassis using the provided hardware. ➡️
Step 4: Mount Tow Bar Assembly
Secure the main tow bar assembly to the installed brackets. ➡️
Step 5: Install Electrical Connector Housing
Mount the housing for the electrical connector. ➡️
Step 6: Connect Wiring Harness
Connect the vehicle's wiring harness to the tow bar's electrical system. ➡️
Step 7: Bumper Modification (Template)
A template is provided for cutting away a section of the rear bumper to accommodate the tow bar. The template indicates dimensions (e.g., 30mm width at the top, tapering to 29mm, with a total height of 140mm) and the area to be cut away. Ensure the template is correct for your vehicle model. The diagram shows a profile of the cut needed, with labels for 'Left outside', 'Right outside', and 'Bottom edge of bumper'.
Step 8: Wheel Arch Liner
Remove and reinstall wheel arch liners as necessary to access mounting points. ➡️
Step 9: Attach Tow Ball
Attach the tow ball to the tow bar assembly using M12x1.25x35 (2x) bolts. ➡️
Step 10: Torqueing Bolts
Tighten M12x40 (4x) bolts to the specified torque. ➡️
Step 11: Final Torqueing
Tighten all main mounting bolts to 83 Nm using M12 hardware. ➡️
Step 12: Final Checks and Operation
Perform final checks on all connections and ensure the tow bar operates correctly. Check for proper clearance (e.g., >49mm is acceptable ✔️, <49mm is not ❌) and no interference with vehicle systems like parking sensors. Recommended checks: Initial inspection at 0 km and subsequent inspection at 1000 km. Weight limits: Maximum towing weight (X) and maximum vertical load (X + 20kg) are indicated.
Declaration of Correct Assembly
The installer declares that the tow bar has been installed correctly according to the manufacturer's specifications and attachment points. The user has been informed about the use and maintenance of the device.
